Too many leaders and the curriculum is too narrow The leaders seem to spend lots of time in meetings but aren’t always aware of what is actually going on in school. When support staff are away, they don’t always think of covering them and just expect you to cope which isn’t easy with some of the challenging behaviour in classes. The delta curriculum is so restrictive. It’s fine if you have no experience and need a plan to follow but it doesn’t allow for any creativity. Also, if your face fits you can get away with anything but if it doesn’t they’ll hound you over everything you do which is why I left.

Stressful and poor treatment of staffReally need to start to value their employees and they may have less staff turnover. Very stressful work environment and find yourself taking work home with you constantly, so not a good work-life balance at all.
Absolutely terrible and backstabbing business cultureTerrible work environment who care only for their own image. The curriculum is academic only, so all creative subjects have little creativity and are written focused. they do not care for the teachers or learners wellbeing and care only for number crunching results with unrealistic expectations.Management staff are oblivious to issues within the schools and care very little. i wouldn't recommend them as you will have little support from other staff or management.

Negative environment with low staff moraleA colleague described it as a show house on the outside but s*#+ show on the inside. Appearances and first impressions seem great, appears to be well organised with great ideas of progression for both children and staff but it's not the case. It's overmanaged to the point of making everyone a robot within the entire 'trust' wanting uniformity for all sites which is impractical when each member of staff has to adapt all the work to suit the needs of their teaching style, pupils, SEN, support and site yet can never get it right. Very poor communication. Nothing is ever good enough and the management let you know, document all negative conversations and keep a log to come back with. Poor management who end up bullying staff and forcing anyone out who has an original or progressive thought. No regard for mental health or morale.
Business like school management.A dynamic results led environment with a lot of young ambitious staff doing what they can to get ahead.Every aspect of the culture is business like, from results farming to teaching the students what you can get is more important than who you can be.
