Motor Vehicle Technician (Current Employee) - Blackpool, ENG - 2 January 2014
A typical day at work can be anything from only a few jobs in a morning or very busy from the start and difficult to manage workloads at other times.
I learned that communication is essential for the smooth and productive running of a business and the use of job cards and recording of information and repair times are very important.
Management there is very little of as there is a regular large work load and every employee takes on all roles with little structure and schedule to work to.
Co workers are excellent. Incredibly hard working and friendly people. Very good working environment and rapport.
The hardest part of the job is simply trying to juggle work around. Fitting jobs in and getting them done quickly whilst being thorough and ensuring the highest quality of work.
I love my job. I enjoy the challenges of every day diagnostics, work and helping customers out in any way possible. Taking great satisfaction in a job well done, on time and with a happy customer and the end of the day. Also working with the team in the garage to get all the work finished on time and to high standards.
Pros
Friendly working atmosphere
Cons
Lack of communication
