Insurance consultant in England
Full on and you do what you’re told
I did enjoy my time here, the training was excellent, but you were told you start and finish when we say (manager) every Saturday morning too. They had an opinion about your outside life too, so they didn’t want you to make a bad impression of yourself. Back then they wanted you to ‘Bunce’ the clients which means adding a bit on top of removing some commission from cancellations etc. A fun place to work, but controlling and made to feel you were very replaceable. You were interrogated asking for time off, and often made to wait days for an answer. I missed my best friends stag do as they were messing about deciding if I could have the time off, and I’d worked there for 5 years at this point!
Insurance Consultant in Wimbledon, Greater London
Not the best place to work
Management was pretty poor during my time there. They also used a lot of old working techniques and had no career progression available for staff members.
Insurance Consultant in Taunton, Somerset
Relaxed and rewarding
Each day can be different in terms of activity like all jobs but the people I worked with made the job what it was. Once you understand how to do the job it was easy. In my opinion it was repetitive however like I said it was the people who made the job fun.
