Terrible Company
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Warboys - 23 April 2022
Management always pick a d choose when they want to turn up for shift and are ridiculously over paid. As the Assistant manager in one of the stores i am getting paid less than the supervisors due to a lack in organisation from head office, meaning every one else gets a pay rise in April and we don’t get one for a few more months

Unproductive and very unprofessional
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - West Midlands - 12 April 2022
Place is a poo tip no matter what department. Managers are useless and you have to be a yes man to go anywhere further then a basic worker. All the managers were yes men but were absolutely dreadful at the basic job before taking a managerial role. Strongly advise not to work for them unless u want ur mental health to be at the bottom of the abyss by the end of it. You do 2000 favours for them and not a single thing or even a bit of appreciation back for you. Constantly employing and sacking people which tells you that they can’t hold on to staff longer then half a year. Their turn over in staff is just as bas as their turn over in profits. Company going desperately downhill. Not one good thing to actually say about them.

Encouraging you if you work hard to do more
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Bedford - 12 April 2022
I think management should improve upon their supervision by making sure that team leaders play their roles efficiently and effectively . I am happy working with the company. One is encourage to be trained in other areas of work that will improve the business of the company
Pros

Cons
Long hours

Fast paced
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Darlaston, West Midlands - 26 March 2022
Fast paced work environment. Advertised wage is performance based and the pick rates can be a bit unrealistic. Management generally leave you to get on with your job.
Pros
kept busy
Cons
performance based pay

Jobs easy.. Management is poor
Driver (Current Employee) - Willenhall - 17 March 2022
The management is bad.. Amazes me how a company this big is able to function.. The pay is ok and there are some decent people here but it seems the worse you are at your job the more likely you are to be promoted.

Do not waste your time.
Retail Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Leegomery, Shropshire - 11 March 2022
The Sales assistants are nice as they are in the same shoes you are, but the management are lazy and have a very do as i say not as i do mentaility, not to mention that they will treat you like dirt they have scraped of their shoes if you let them and then if you dont let them do that they will either just not talk to you or will slag you off and be horrible to others behind your back. Add on the fact that they pay the absulute minimum wage they can get away with as far as they care well thats just it they dont care. After 2 years in this Posistion i can say that i wish i could go back and never even applied. You mean nothing to the people above you nothing this goes from just the store manager to the top, if you happen to apply for this company be prepared to give up all social life, including family life.

Dreadful place to work
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Wolverhampton - 8 March 2022
People are nice but the managers are awful. Only ever one or two that do anything right. Always missing money out of my wages so i would have to nag for them to do anything about it.

Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Bridgend, Bridgend - 1 March 2022
I worked for Blakemore between the ages of 16 and 20 , pay was poor as you got minimum wage for your age while doing the same job , staff were friendly and you got looked after , lots of support from central and possibility of progression

Bonus system is capped
Line Leader (Former Employee) - Willenhall - 26 February 2022
You're treated like a work mule. Everything is timed so you have to work towards the bonus for a decent wage. But the bonus is capped so if you continue working hard they show you what you could have earnt if the bonus wasn't capped.. You've earnt the money but company doesn't pay you it...
Pros
Free car park
Cons
Bonus is rigged in companies favour

No fun. Too much backstabbing.
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - East Midlands - 19 February 2022
Not worth all the hassle. Do not recommend. Management is poor and they tell everyone confidential things and moan about everything. Bad place to work after being there for nearly 5yrs. It just isn't worth it. Pay is dreadful. Everyone jumps on you like a pack of wolves just for 1 mistake.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Everything

Great if you want to be out every hour of the day, bad if you want new lorry and good management.
Driver (Current Employee) - Bedford, Bedfordshire - 6 February 2022
Management have not got a clue how to run a transport company, office staff don't care about drivers. Fleet is old and out of date whereas other depots fleet is brand new. Routes can be long and impossible to finish.
Pros
New warehouse and site
Cons
Long hours, bad management, old fleet

Bsd management
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Kidderminster, Worcestershire - 1 February 2022
Not a good place to work, to get anywhere you have to be close with the manager, so don't expect to get anywhere in the work place, always expected to do more then what you bargain for and people are toxic to eachother.
Pros
Free hot drinks
Cons
Management
