Excellent place to work - if you're in the right division?Overall a great company, some divisions are super places to work, others not so much. Benefits are excellent, Hybrid working is available but Max 2 days a week which isn't ideal.

DatedOld fashioned for a Pharma company. Jobs advertised never given a salary guideline and if interested in an internal post you have to go through the interview process before you find out the salary, it's very secretive in Abbott. Stay long enough - years - and you will get promoted as you will see, much of the top management have gone through the ranks, but some are not management material and it shows. Not what you know but who you know. Many internal promotion posts have someones name on it. It's a very busy dept, lean on staff, you work flat out - Well some of us did. You get a lot of complaints from customers regarding their free products. Very few people give you praise it can be demoralising. I went in with a lot of experience so I only learnt about their products. You will never change Abbott, they are not interested in listening to other peoples ideas. Suggestions are met by "Abbott don't do it like that" even if it saved time. Abbott's way or no way. Open plan office is very toxic and the gossipers are causing an environment that is detrimental to anyone's health. If you don't join them you will be ostracized very quickly. One dept seems to have complete control. HR know this but are doing nothing.

Extremely busy and multi functional tasks.Delivers good high quality products but the testing of products need to be extremely cautious and hence the operator has to be multi tasking and focused. Which is what I love...

Strong teamwork. Overall very good working environment. Clear company vision.Everything is 10/10 for this company. However, CRM systems consume most of your productive time. Management is supportive and fair. Strong teamwork. Fair assessment/promotion procedure.
