Increased knowledge of oncology. Worked with a team of knowleadgeable peers.
One must learn how to have work life balance. Constant change to improve work life/company or organizational belief. Good benefits but hard to utilize it and PTO doesn't roll over. I wish since the company is so competitive it would've offered it's employees with competitive salary.
Pros
Big Company, lots of opportunity
Cons
Salary
Nice relaxed environment, dealing with field reps & offices can be stressful. Management has changed recently & are trying to provide support & encouragement.
Pros
Competitive wage, casual dress code, understanding MGMT team
Cons

Cons
Heavy workload
Company was purchased by a United Healthcare subsidiary. Benefits were horrible. Case loads just kept increasing. Constant layoffs, restructuring, reorganizing. Painful time to be an employee.
Pros
Work from home
Cons
Very long hours, high stress.
Call center cubicle environment. Required lots of personnel management.
Pros
Colleagues became friends
Cons
Inconsistent Administrative Environment
Spent day interacting with high risk pregnant women referred for case management due to high risk triggers. Enrolled them into case management program. Completed assessment, established goals, education, referrals.
Goal driven not quality driven. No flexibility in schedule. Co worker were wonderful caring nurses. Hardest part of job was having to meet a goal quota for enrolments as opposed to being evaluated on the quality of care you provided. Most enjoyable part was talking with the patients.
Pros
work from home
Cons
not flexible, goal driven, no caring about employee
A lot of travel was involved in at this company. As a case manager there would be many hospitals in a large territory that needed to be covered. One's ability to read and interpret care plans as well as predict possible outcomes. Aided in the delivery of safe and cost effective care. At times would be difficult to speak with doctors and encourage them to modify or enhance plans of care to ensure the timely and safe discharge of patients home.
Pros
Office was in your home. All communications with managers were telephonic or via computer
Cons
Days could get hectic. Sometimes expectations from the health plans may have been unreasonable.
Good place to work if you are a road warrior and like to travel.
Pros
company pays for a rental car (direct bill) for out-of-town travel, work from home, set your own appointments
Cons
frequent technical breakdowns with the laptop, frequent changes in management staff, constant travel.
