Job culture
Autocratic, patronising management; a lot of unnecessary stress
Do not apply for an admin role at this company if you do not like being constantly bullied, patronised and under-appreciated. Various departments are always blaming each other for one mess up or another, and there is little to no cooperation amongst themselves. As a result the overall atmosphere is often toxic with middle-aged men constantly bickering about each other behind one another's back. Having being unfortunate enough to work there for a year, I am convinced that the term "to throw someone under the bus" was coined by someone else who had the misfortune of working for this company, which is very apt, all things considered. STEER CLEAR!! (No pun intended)
Pros
Free travel on buses, tube and trams whilst employed there.
Cons
Patronising bullying self-important management, constant back-stabbing and gossiping, changes to admin duties at a moment's notice without asking for any input from the post holder, inability to adhere to advice regarding social distancing, staff members often having to take time off due to stress, an overall lack of respect, inadequate bathroom facilities, amongst others.
