Enjoyable
School Teacher general supply PE (Current Employee) - Aberdeen - 20 July 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I'm only aware of the education sector being a Supply teacher of PE. I'm very pleased with Aberdeen City Council and how they... What I believe they do best is to support their employees... What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Politics and a very sensitive job working with children. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? My previous employment at St Machar Academy PE was excellent What is a typical day like for you at the company? Interesting and enjoyable... That differs from school to school

No support
Pest Control Officer (Former Employee) - Aberdeen, Aberdeen City - 29 March 2023
Job was good but no support from management and no interest in safety, usually get nothing we can do. Don’t allow you to get decent boots as go for cheapest. Have no interest in helping you in difficult jobs. Would advise folk to think before working for them
Pros
Left to it
Cons
Management. Safety.

Support Worker (Former Employee) - Aberdeen, Aberdeen City - 16 February 2023
As with any job you take the good and the bad. Pay is behind private sector but good benefits and flexibility. Bad side is red tape meaning thing take ages to happen

Customer care officer - Crisis support full time (Former Employee) - Marischal College - 7 February 2022
They don't care about your employees feelings, culture, I don't recommend. Like any other government job, a lot of people there didn't know what they are doing just.... had luck or something else to get the job. Fully disappointed.

Untrustworthy managers
Support Assistant (Former Employee) - Aberdeen, Aberdeen City - 20 August 2020
Staff are fine and work together which creates a good environment. Managers are out for themselves and are only interested in making cuts. Never any money for photocopy paper or pens. The interal internet is like a brainwashing site. It tells you all the positive things for staff but when you are for development opportunities you dont get them. Very 2 faced organisation
Pros
Flexible working
Cons
Constant money saving
