Bang average
Program and project analyst (Current Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 27 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt’s very much who you know rather than what you can do. People want to see you in the office in order to get a promotion, expect you to do a lot of ‘side of desk’ stuff in order to get a promotion. Once a year bonus… very low

All for profit never for the workers
Specialist (Former Employee) - Nationwide - 26 November 2023
Managers bang on about benefits and how good it is to work there but company is only about profit making 50 billion in one quarter then making 19k redundancy’s globally. Management don’t care about you or your work life balance - they say work from home but then force you in to an empty office - unless you work in London office facilities are poor - culture is shut up and put up
Pros
Few and far between
Cons
Too many to mention

Jobs at Accenture
Good School
Associate Manager (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 24 November 2023
Very good for self improvement, lots of career opportunities if you join as analyst. But could be a bit harder if you lateral hired and without consultancy background.

long hours
Management Consultant (Former Employee) - manchester, united kingdom - 14 November 2023
long hours dont justify the mediocre pay. the main reason to go there is the hope of unclear exit opportunities to clients that you have the opportunity to work with

It’s fine
Consultant (Current Employee) - New York - 10 November 2023
Overall the company operates well but it isn’t the best, we do good work and our people are great, but like other consultancies there is a strong focus on chargeability rather than doing exciting work

No planning for work or project
Sr. Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 9 November 2023
Zero planning on work, no projects are available. All in talks but none in work. Management is not helpful or encouraging. Getting project to work is a horrible task

Good place to work
Project Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 31 October 2023
good place to work, really supportive management. Talent performance reviews are slightly unfair and depends how good your career counsellor can tell a story about you

Remote work. Range of interesting projects to work on, great people, supportive culture. But relatively lower pay. Great place to grow and gain skills.

Pretty standard
Apprenticeship (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 20 October 2023
Pretty standard place to work, not much support from the management, but good pay for what you do, overall probably 3 stars, nothing to really write home about.

Great place to work and grow and make good friends. It was very lovely
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 19 October 2023
I loved working here. Nice environment and caring people who taught me alot. You just have to be ready to learn and that's all. Never a dull moment. The only thing was using the system and you just have to get used to following the information center. In all i bless God for the privilege of working there.
Pros
Flexible place
Cons
Long hours

Avoid
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Remote - 18 October 2023
Awful job. IT equipment provided and systems not fit for purpose. I ended up actually having to purchase some of my own equipment to attempt to do the job. Training and support dreadful. Was treated like an 8 year old throughout.

Some bad things, some great things
Technology Architecture Analyst (Former Employee) - London - 12 October 2023
Accenture offers some really innovative and interesting work, and provides great learning and career advancement opportunities. However the salary does not match industry standard for similar roles and has not addressed the cost of living crisis. The remainder of the benefits package is great. Accenture's people are mostly great and there is a very diverse and supportive culture in the organization. However there is a severe work-life balance issue at all levels within the company, and overworking and unpaid overtime are rife and just expected as the norm it seems. Accenture is also incredibly keen on returning to office since the covid pandemic has calmed down, meaning many people are loosing the flexibility they once had whilst the majority of our competitors continue to support hybrid/remote models.
Pros
Culture, People
Cons
Salary, Long working hours, Unreliability, No flexibility

Agile
Project Manager (Current Employee) - Remote - 5 October 2023
Huge company globally, supportive people and bags of opportunity. Be warned if you're part of an acquisition, the process is painful but post integration it's worth it!

Good place
Business & Integration Arch Specialist (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 4 October 2023
Good place to work, difficult to get promoted. All people are hardworking, you can have many people waiting for couple of years minimum to get promoted

Run away
Product Consultant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 5 September 2023
Run away, not worth it, poor management. Extremely political. You need to be willing to play games to progress Doing a good job is never enough, you always need to be visible

Depends on the roles you get
Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 22 August 2023
Can be a fun and exciting place to work in as long as you end up in the right projects. The work life balance can get very challenging and toxic in high pressure high visibility projects where people become just numbers on a spreadsheet
Pros
Opportunities to experiment with different industries
Cons
Long hours, unrealistic expectations, peer pressure, insane level of competition for promotion, politics

So so
Some good benefits, flexible working (in terms of location) and generally nice people to work with. What lets Accenture down is decisions made higher up. In the UK we have had large redundancy programmes in August 2020, June 2023 and we are now going into another in October 2023 despite good profits. The company also uses forced distribution method for annual performance reviews.

Challenging workplace
Senior Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 28 July 2023
Provides a lot of opportunity, decent compensation - though often lower than other consulting companies. There are some great people and if you find your tribe, you can be very happy. Important to set boundaries.

Okay
Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 24 July 2023
Working at Accenture has been a mixed experience for me, and I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such a reputable company and the chance to learn and grow in my role. The onboarding process was relatively smooth, and I felt supported by my team. One of the significant positives of Accenture is the wide range of roles available to employees. It allows for exploration and potential career advancement within the organization.
