Our main objective is to ensure our staff are skilled, determined and are passionate about their work while going above and beyond for the people we support, their friends and families. We provide an excellent induction and sector leading training programme. We have internal qualified Clinical Training experts who provide our Support Workers with mandatory clinical sessions upon starting dates. All our staff undergo continuous clinical training which is reviewed and approved by our in-house clinical team. Once staff have received their induction and compulsory training they are introduced to the people we support to continue their training. Career Progression - Case Study
Nick has been in Social Care for 14 years during which time he has held a number of roles including Support Worker, completing the Fast Track Management Programme and Registered Manager. His current role is the Area Operations Manager for the organisation. Background Nick had no history of working in Health and Social Care before joining accomplish. He started his career as a Support Worker during 2001 and in 2002 was successful in his application for the Fast Track Management Programme. In 2004 Nick then went on to manage Cedar House and by 2007 had progressed to Area Operations Manager. Recently Nick’s area of responsibility has changed and he now specialises in Acquired Brain Injury services overseeing a number of homes in South Wales. A role in Social Care No day is the same for Nick in his role as Area Operations Manager. Nick is responsible for providing support to the Managers and the senior staff in his area as well as promoting the accomplish mission and ensuring the organisations values are upheld at all times. For this reason Nick visits the homes on a regular basis. This makes the individuals living at the homes feel at ease when talking to Nick, especially if they have concerns they would like to discuss. Nick also provides Vision, Strategy and Leadership throughout his area and has regular meetings with the managers. As well as this he facilitates training days for the Managers, Deputies and Senior Support Workers. “I can honestly say I love my role, it never feels like a job and I feel it’s more a way of life for me.
