Unbelievable
Support Worker (Current Employee) - Brighton, East Sussex - 22 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedLuckily the manager that we have and the staff members are like family. However, the whole system of the company is a joke besides the s..t money they pay you compared to what they are making!

Awlful company
Senior Support worker. (Former Employee) - Brighton & Hove, East Sussex - 6 December 2023
I got an instant transfer~ was brilliant when I first started but managers left and I was left to run a home with no experience as I was a senior. Nothing is stated in my contract that I have that responsibility. Totally unprofessional and no support at all from the company. RM should be coming into the service for regular audits and to see if staff are okay but they never happened and that’s when mistakes happen. I was expected to run this home without even a raise it’s a joke! I hope things improve not just for the pws but for the staff it ain’t fair to be treated like this.
Cons
Long hours

Jobs at Achieve together
Happy and rewarding
Support Worker (Current Employee) - Clacton-on-Sea - 3 December 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Overall I have enjoyed working for Achieve Together, the People we support have been the best part , I have been able to do activities, arts and crafts, and so much more, getting out into the community. It will be hard to say goodbye What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The staff, for the most part, but rise above that and get on always works. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I have found it to be a diverse and inclusive What is a typical day like for you at the company? A typical day would be to greet the people we support, if waking them with meds we would do this gently. Breakfast would be next then personal care. Then with the person we support, we would plan their day.

Work place
Recruitment Consultant (Current Employee) - Remote - 29 November 2023
Ok place to work, remote so you are able to move round, good commission structure but must be willing to work hard to achieve it. The job is rewarding and the homes we provide staff for are all so lovely.

I have only been a Manager here for a short time but from day one I was made to feel welcome by everyone in the home
Home Manager (Current Employee) - Epsom, Surrey - 29 November 2023
A typical day for me starts when I am greeted by staff on shift and the people we support, I like to spend some time chatting about the plans for the day. I was made to feel part of the team from the very start but also my role is respected. I have been very well supported by my manager who although is very busy themselves will always take a call or answer an email if I need any help of advice and if they can't help they will signpost me to where I need to go. The most enjoyable part of my job is being involved with the people we support and supporting them to be empowered and independent. I suppose the hardest part of my job is like anyone, there isn't always enough hours in the day.
Pros
A skilled and supportive team

Was very sad and unsupportive by upper management
Support Worker (Former Employee) - South West - 27 November 2023
It was granted a very difficult job. However the overworking and stress was a lot and there wasn't much support for the team or the manager in the service. It was very sad leaving this place (people supported were so lovely) but had to be done to save my own mental/physical health. I just hope they improve and the individuals living there are being properly taken care of!
Pros
People who needed your support made it fun and worthwhile
Cons
No support, Long hours and crazy shifts.

Passionate, rewarding but challenging
Home Manager (Current Employee) - Remote - 26 November 2023
Care is an extremely rewarding sector to work in. However, it comes with its challenges for sure, but it is how as a team you deal with them, and I feel extremely lucky to be part of a solid team in which other local services all work closely together to share experience and knowledge. Being part of such a large company there is always going to be hurdles but the company is improving all the time. There are some fantastic things in place such as 'employee rewards system, refer a friend schemes, and there is always some kind of recognition/awards going on throughout the year, with a wonderful network to share everyone's achievements and thanks across the whole company that all employees have access to via our company App. If you're not a passionate, caring natured person then this role would not be for you, but if you know someone looking for a rewarding, hands on job with plenty of progession opportunities then point them in our direction!

Challenging but rewarding work environment
Support Worker (Former Employee) - South Elmsall and South Kirkby - 24 November 2023
The people we support and work colleagues in the individual homes make up for the higher management of the company, which often makes you feel like just another cog in the machine. But this is the care sector, we’re all used to that right?

Individuals let down
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Wembdon, Somerset - 17 November 2023
Individuals being supported let down by policies based on money pinching and wanting cpc points before important requirements for individuals. Zero planning and very clicky
Pros
Working with individuals and helping them
Cons
Zero planning, organisation, staff support, induction training and poor back up by seniors etc

Shocking
Practice lead (Current Employee) - Northampton, Northamptonshire - 12 November 2023
Achieve together have to be the worst care company i have ever worked for. Totally focused on profit at the detriment of the people who live at the homes. Management are run to the ground so are unable to give support to their teams. Will be leaving very soon

Most frustrating company
N/A (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 8 November 2023
Most frustrating company I've ever worked for. Constantly changing the goal posts, new documents being introduced without any roll out, poor leadership from the directors who all work from home in their ivory towers and have no clue what's going on in the real world

Terribly run
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Westgate on Sea, Kent - 8 November 2023
When they took over the home things went downhill very fast. Money was suddenly gone and management no longer available. Long term policies changed for the worse and everything became more difficult.

Ok if you don’t mind being treated like you don’t matter
CQC Registered Manager (Former Employee) - Eastbourne - 7 November 2023
Company has introduced so many different apps that are poor quality and make life so difficult. Higher management really don’t care about staff, they just care about money. Very little communication from above, poor pay, and goal posts moved almost daily. Don’t do it!
Pros
Non
Cons
Poor pay, lack of respect

Not a great place to work
Management (Current Employee) - Southampton, Hampshire - 2 November 2023
Poorly paid, which results in staff being new to care and unexperienced. Too many Non-English speaking staff from totally different cultures. Run by incompetent's.

Do not touch with a barge pole!!
Central Team (Former Employee) - Remote - 2 November 2023
The day to day staff you work with are nice and that creates a nice atmosphere. But you soon see people are not happy - senior management are awful, have no clue what everyone down the ladder is doing or how they feel. Middle management try to keep you happy but sadly have to deliver awful targets or news and when you challenge it or ask questions you are told you are being negative and they fully gas light you. If you ask too many questions or go to management with general concerns they will sack you. Simple as that. Team member spend their days worried for their jobs. You reach out to HR for help and you are told that as you worked there less than 2 years, you have no rights and they don’t have to follow process. Which technically is correct, but morally, do you want to work for such a cut throat organisation? When they sack you, they mess up your paperwork, your pay and they don’t even care. I’m unsure if they genuinely think this is the way to run a business and they’re just naïve, or whether they are so scared that people really have some good points and they don’t know how to handle them! So instead they just put people in a tiny little box and tell them they’re wrong. The amount of people that go off sick with stress is unreal.
Pros
The team around you at the same level.
Cons
Terrible work life balance. Don’t hit figures? Sacked.

Awful
Support Worker (Current Employee) - Wirral - 21 October 2023
The management don't know their lefts from their rights. The pay is abysmal for the job we're expected to do. The only bonus of working here is the benefit you can make to people's lives.
