It's just another use and abuse agency
Warehouse Operative/Picker (Former Employee) - Espack eurologistica - 16 October 2023
No dress code just take basic documents to sign your life away for a interview Very friendly to get you into work but when you are there communication is non existing Work hard get the job and your week in hand will be ignored as they will keep it for themselves Go full time I understand in experience go with agency but they are rip of merchants especially this one
Pros
A job start
Cons
Take your week in hand and ignore commutation when you have a problem

Soul destroying
Recruitment Consultant Industrial and new business (Current Employee) - Newton Abbot - 25 June 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The holiday allowance is above minimum and they give your your birthday off What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No matter how hard you work, how much you give it will never be enough. They have unrealistic expectations of staff expecting you to pull candidates and clients out of thin air. They have managers in place who don't know what planet they are on let alone how to manage people and are continually throwing people under the bus for their mistakes! What is the work environment and culture like at the company? To sum it up in one word Toxic !!

Boring work Team leader was shocking
Operative (Former Employee) - Honeywell Ellesmere Port - 22 February 2023
Supervisor on the 2-10 shift no communication between certain employees had his own little “group” didn’t make me feel welcome at any point I didn’t feel as though I could approach the supervisor on 2-10.. money was decent but other than that I wouldn’t recommend it.
Pros
Decent Wage
Cons
Boring work shocking supervisors

Don’t pay what you worked
Driver (Former Employee) - Newport Office - 7 April 2022
Acorn don’t like paying the employee for the hours they have worked. I would avoid! They lie about the hours you are to work and are basically a shambles! AVOID
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Too much to write! Just avoid this agency

Great if you want a job quickly
Technical process operator (Former Employee) - Magor, Monmouthshire - 26 November 2021
Applied on a Thursday, started following Monday. Two weeks assignment turned into 10 years of continuous employment within the same company until I decided I had enough of doing 12 hour shifts. Paid very well weekly, and the wages were spot on every time.
Pros
Great wages and relatively local to me
Cons
12 hour shifts

Bait and switch
Driver (Former Employee) - Port Talbot Town - 9 November 2021
I worked for them in the summer of 2021 in the steel works in port Talbot. In the interview which was more of a sales pitch. The world was promised but even a oily car sales man would be put to shame with the undelivered promises

Corrupt and intolerant
Charge Hand (Current Employee) - Port Talbot - 20 May 2021
I have never worked for such a corrupt and intolerant company in all my life! Management blocking progression, stealing from the company to line their own pockets and treating staff like dogs! I don’t know what their like to work for else where but this company is a sinking ship in the steelworks. If you don’t enjoy life or spending time with your loved ones then this is the company for you. They’ll cancel your holidays at last minute and laugh at the concept of “work life balance”. Modern day slavers!
Pros
Free car parking
Cons
No work life balance, no chance of progressing your career further, poor wages unless you want to live in work, lazy lying management.

No job security here, ok for Xmas cash
Production Operative (Former Employee) - Enersys - 7 November 2020
BEWARE of this ploy “possibility of a permanent contract after 12 weeks. “ if it’s battery manufacture, it should read “ possibility of high lead in blood count.” After 3 weeks. 2 years minimum employment, to be considered a permanent contract. Prepare to start your shift, then BOOM! Redundant! No warning. holidays owed any wages outstanding are void. In the Argus, last year, 80 people bye bye.
Pros
Showers
Cons
Boring, lead poisoning, locker thieves
