Acquire Care provide quality home care services in Oxford and the surrounding areas. Occasionally other areas in the UK are also covered. We believe that everyone should be able to stay in their own home even if they need help to maintain their independence. Would you like a change of career or are you looking to advance up the career ladder? We have a number of roles within our established team in Oxford and the rest of the UK. Live-in and Hourly Carer Roles Could you give helpful, friendly care and support in someone’s house? Are you sympathetic, trustworthy and reliable? Do you have a current driving licence? If the answers are yes, then we would like to hear from you. Caring is a very rewarding and flexible profession and could be right for you. Excellent rates of pay and travel allowance are offered. We are looking for full and part-time flexible people who can work at our busiest periods (early mornings/evenings) and alternate weekends. Our work patterns are flexible so perhaps our hours would suit you? Becoming a carer means that you will make a real difference to our clients' lives. Normal duties include: • Providing personal care duties, including bathing and dressing both males and females • Administering medication • Manual handling and using equipment where required e.g., hoists • Household duties and meal preparation • General companionship and support Please see our services section for more information on common duties. No experience is needed to be a carer as full training is provided to ensure that our Clients maintain their independence and continue living in their own homes. After training, the Carer will do work experience by working with experienced colleagues. Our Carers are fully monitored and supervised throughout their career with Acquire Care. Often, they will complete further courses at Shotover Kilns to increase their expertise. Care Management Leading our Carers to deliver the best possible service they can across both our Hourly visiting and Live-in services is the main responsibility of those in the management team. Whether you are a Registered Manager, a care co-ordinator or have experience in looking after 24/7 care packages we would also love to hear from you. Our services

The same services are offered for Hourly Care and Live-in Care. These could include: • Personal care and support (including getting-up, toileting, bathing, washing) • Overnight sleep-over / waking night • Sitting and companionship support • Overseeing medication • Food / meals preparation • Shopping / collecting prescriptions • Dementia care • Hospital discharge and support • Respite care • Palliative care • Help with learning, physical and sensory disabilities • Attend appointments • Escorted outings • Administrative tasks • Laundry and general housework • Pet care / dog walking

What happens next?

Apply for a role at Acquire Care via Indeed and you will be informed if you have been successful and reached the interview stage. At interview, our recruitment consultant will discuss the role in detail and the requirements needed. Our in-depth training procedures will also be discussed (if this is required). You will also have chance to discuss any questions or queries that you may have to help you decide whether your chosen role is the right one for you. As the job entails working with vulnerable adults, it is necessary for you to be fully referenced, both by your past employers and the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). After the interview, we will reference and also inform you if you have been successful in your application. It is aimed to make the process as smooth as possible.
