Poor reviews on other sites have led to bribery by management
I enjoy the work, my immediate manager and the learners. However upper management are awful: big cars, bragging and complete disregard for those at the coal face. Pay is awful. Early years Assessor in Banbury

Not the best
I worked at AL for nearly a year. I loved the people but the workload was punishing. Supposed to be part time but ended up working on my days off and weekends to get everything done . Lots of issues with not being paid on time. Management especially the directors /HR will ignore all communication and won't even acknowledge your emails which is shocking . Made a formal complaint about the mess they made with my lack of pay , and what a surprise no response . If it hadn't been for the office manager constantly emailing HR/director doubt I would have been paid. Lots of people left when I did. A very steep learning curve. Very poorly paid for the hours you do. LSA in Reading, Berkshire

Rewarding
Very rewarding place to work at. The students always make your day. So many great characters. Wish the pay was higher but the holidays are amazing!!!!Online Tutor in Work from home

Supportive employer in an interesting educational environment
As an online tutor I work from home and have the flexibility to plan my own work time - subject to meeting assignment marking deadlines. The hardest part of the job is the feeling of being 'on call' as you have to reply to student emails within 48 hours. The most enjoyable part is developing supportive, professional relationships with your fellow tutors and getting to know your students - albeit at a distance. There are lots of opportunities for CPD provided and you can discuss with your manager the workload (number of students) that you feel you have the time to support, as we are paid per student (competitive rate).Coordinator in Oxford, Oxfordshire
