Useful and variety.
Temporary roles (agency) (Former Employee) - Chesterfield - 1 December 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I used Adecco as a recruitment agency and got several temporary roles across 18 months after being made redundant. Although non of the jobs were long term or permanent I gained valuable experience and it helped me return to the jobs market. The staff were helpful and honest. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The roles were only temporary/short term. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Good communication and the colleagues were nice. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I had to fill in a time sheet and it was admin/IT roles meaning I was working 9 - 5.

Online detached convenient dystopia. Faceless processing. Better than being unemployed.
Administrative Investigative Support Officer (Former Employee) - Dorset Police - 31 October 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? They’re helpful once you learn the routine of logging in your hours. They are nice to you as you slowly realise that they are getting some of your pay and that you can be let go on the day without HR or grievance rights. You are there at a job to not be a part of the company whilst getting less pay. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You don’t belong there and you don’t get the right pay. As agency you are an extra supplicant until you are not needed. You are earning enough to pay rent and buy food for the week. You are wasting your life or year if you wish to progress. Perhaps get your foot in the company you are sent to and apply for a job internally. Quit after 8 months if you get no further. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? There is no culture as it’s an email lifestyle and occasional pleasant phone call. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I would go to Dorset Police and then email the Adecco website with my hours. The police have less accountants to hire and less HR to employ.

Sortation Associate (Current Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 5 October 2023
I was a bit afraid that the employer would be not so good but it was actually OK. I started in Oct 2023 and things are actually going OK. Only problem is maybe it shoyld be shorter shift's.then also I don't think that it will be for that Long. The nights are the best shift ad you get paid more.

Good for work experience
Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) - Remote - 23 September 2023
Working with Addecco saved me, as not many others were willing to take in somebody with little to no experience. Had consistent back to back jobs with them, though I know this won't be consistent, and it's definitely not a reliable form of income. But it's great for getting some work experience under your belt, while not necessarily being something I see myself doing long term.

Avoid at all costs!
Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) - South Western Railway - 8 August 2023
Signed up to them as the agency I previously worked for lost the contract at my location to them. We were promised the same hourly rate and that didn't happen with a loss of £2 per hour. We were expected to travel to locations that were unachievable within minimum rest requirements or without a hotel at short notice on minimum wage. You can't claim it back. Breaks were 20 minutes including the time you took to walk to rest area, thankfully the management at the locations tended to let you take longer breaks in line with their companies rules. Training was provided by other agency staff, so it's easy to trained completely wrong. This is just what I saw.

A huge letdown
Temporary Worker (Former Employee) - North West - 12 July 2023
Had teams interview for a temp ongoing role which seemed to be suitable for my skills and experience. However I was very misled on the role and training; had only 1.5 days of training then expected to manage on my own, no on site manager to support, other counterparts were based down south & systems were far to complex for a role that was supposed to be as I was told 'straightforward', was told I would have IT equipment eg laptop but there was a delay and had to sit there for 2 hours after the lady who trained me left to travel back to her office to which I was told oh just potter about I decided that I was only there to do a job no one else wanted and to clean up the s**tshow they left behind. I ended up having a meltdown and told the agency I would not be returning.
Pros
Location, part time hours and good kitchen facilities
Cons
Lack of support, thrown in at the deep end, unfair to leave a temp on their own

Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Rugeley, Staffordshire - 11 July 2023
Worked for Adecco at an Amazon Warehouse in Rugeley. Speaking solely on the Agency side of things, I never had any issues with being paid and the interview period was fairly prompt.

Customer service advisor
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Durham - 11 July 2023
Standard customer service advisor role - adecco did what they’re supposed to do - place us into job roles. Job was fairly standard, paid weekly and was made permanent at the end of the 12 weeks

Fired for their fault.
Customer Serivce Representative (Former Employee) - Belfast, Northern Ireland - 10 July 2023
Started working with adecco and they recently fired around 30 of us on the spot. The reasoning being “call volumes had decreased.” For a company that projects their friendliness and flexibility it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. We all have lives that we need to pay for desperately at the moment and for them to throw their workers out the window without any explanation other than “less calls” is infuriating. They’d given us three days work before letting us go. They said they would give us “opportunities” if any jobs with them arisen that we could have but I think we all know that is bull. I wouldn’t work for a company like this if you don’t want to be let go out of the blue and busting your buttoff for the place in the job
Pros
None.
Cons
Everything

Productive and fun environment at times
Covid Officer (Former Employee) - Hounslow, Greater London - 30 June 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Good company to work for, I never had any problems with them, Great employer to employee communication. Paid on time, and they listen. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No stress.... because this is an agency you are able to state when and where you would like to work. Jobs are always available. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? With agency work you may work with different people at times, on the whole I worked with some lovely people from all different backgrounds. What is a typical day like for you at the company? No day is the same as you may be in different locations or you may be in one location for days or weeks, depending on the contact the company has.

Addeco is a reputable staffing and recruitment agency that I have had the opportunity to work with. Overall, my experience with Addeco has been positive and I would recommend them to both job seekers and employers. One of the standout aspects of working with Addeco is their extensive network and access to a wide range of job opportunities. They have a strong presence in various industries, which allows them to connect candidates with relevant positions that match their skills and experience. Their team is knowledgeable and professional, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. Addeco also demonstrates a commitment to understanding the needs of both job seekers and employers. They take the time to assess candidates' qualifications and career goals, ensuring a good fit for both parties. For employers, Addeco offers tailored staffing solutions and delivers candidates who meet their specific requirements. Another advantage of working with Addeco is their efficient and streamlined processes. From initial contact to placement, they prioritize open communication and responsiveness. Their online platform is user-friendly and facilitates easy access to job postings, application tracking, and updates on the recruitment progress. In terms of improvement areas, there have been instances where communication could have been more proactive, particularly during the follow-up stages. Additionally, while Addeco's reach is extensive, it may be beneficial for them to further expand their industry coverage to cater to a wider range of job seekers and employers. Overall, -
