The home is a nice place to work but 14 hour days are too long also you do not get paid for your breaks. You get alternate weekends off but there isn't a rolling rota which makes planning appointments difficult.
I met some amazing people working at Douglas Court, didn't ever feel like I was at work, pay was okay at the time only reason I left was because they didn't have any higher opportunities there for me at that time
I have resumed and I can confidently say that Adept Care Home is a very good and comfortable place to work and also live. The staffs are welcoming and always smiling. No reason to be sad at all. I love working with ADEPT CARE HOME (THE KNOWLES CARE HOME TEAM)
14 hour shifts is ridiculous. Shorter hours on nights. Not enough staff. Breakfast times are stressful trying to get residents up without many staff and then also making residents breakfasts. Some have to wait a while . No one wants to cover if someone phones in sick as shifts are often back to back.
Worst place I've ever had the displeasure of working. Would 100% not recommend working for such a toxic company. Residents aren't allowed to bring their own furniture into the homes. The md thinks that care staff are the dregs of society.
