As long as you keep boundaries about what hours you are prepared to do/can do, then it's a good place to work. Management has improved and communication is better. Opportunities exist for career development if you want them and the training available is good. Like any care company they have the same pressures.

Very supportive company

The company are very carer focused and offer NVQs for care staff and managers also. The company are very supportive and there is NOT a blame culture within the company. Management are very supportive and care staff are listened to rather then the customer always blindly being right.

Supportive environment

Management are supportive of any difficulties and have years of experience too guide you. Training is amazing and on going throughout your time with the company. Service users are all lovely and lots of background info on them before you visit. A happy place too work where you feel appreciated and recieve positive feedback

Balance between work and private life ,

Amazing and great company to work for. Higher management always been so helpful no matter the situation or the house you needed help. Plenty of hours to choose from , flexible around you private life

I’ve worked here for about 16 months nice and flexible for my personal life, pays well, visit nice people colleagues and clients. Good management always helpful.

Home Care with a Difference!

Alina Homecare prides itself on being an organisation with a difference and it truly is. Staff have a voice working here and their ideas are listened to and shared. There is a great support system in place with multiple different avenues to help you along the way, no matter what position you are in. There is lots of training and opportunity to develop your skills and feel valued as an employee. I cannot recommend Alina Homecare enough. If you are working for another agency or in a role where you feel like you are just a number, you don’t receive the credit you deserve or feel valued you should look at the vacancies Alina have available in your area.

Giving more to others

This work is definitely not the routine corporate world profile. This work imbibes into employees how to place others before themselves. The individuals/clients are truly special and have different needs. It is a rewarding job in terms of satisfaction as you are serving the community and at times helping them to get an independent life.This work should be paid more but unfortunately, it isn't.

Helping disabled individuals, Giving them a better lifestyle opportunity, Helping them make life-changing decisions.

Not well paid, No transport allowance, No acknowledgment of good work by employees.

Busy but fair

One of the best care companies out there for standard of service delivery, management is fair, plenty of opportunities for hard working people. It does get quite busy and you need to be able to keep up

I have been currently working with Alina Homecare based at the Poole branch for nearly two years. My experience so far with the company has been great, the support I have received through my career path with Alina I cannot fault, the support and guidance that has been given to me to ensure that I have progress through my career path.

Unprofessional staff. Management rude . Call you on your days off to hassle you. When you are working and you need help. No one is there.

I would avoid this company. False info and promises at the start. Left alone to struggle. Better paying companies out there with more benefits than this company

Terrible and wicked company to work with

Management is insensitive to staffs pressing needs.low pay rate treating staffs like trash,they do not valve staffs effort.i cannot recommend this company to anyone to work. I end up fall sick because of crazy hours.this company is not a place someone should work for if you really love yourself .each week is different madness

Great place to work

During my time at Alina, the management was amazing. If we had any problems there was always someone on the end of the phone! Great flexibility, they worked around my husbands shifts and home life.

Lovely company to work for

I have not worked in care before so I was a little nervous when I started. The nerves quickly went away as the office staff and all other carers are really friendly, welcoming and supportive. I find Alina to be very accommodating and flexible with hours and shift patterns. Training and personal development are very important to Alina and the training provided is to an excellent standard. I feel we have some of the best clients who are also very friendly. I ask myself sometimes why I did not work for Alina a long time ago. I love my job.

come here if you want to find out what a bad job is

Service users are amazing, you feel like you're making a difference when caring for them and seeing the quality of life improve. Good teamwork between other Support Workers and Teams within the house. However. everything else is atrocious. Rotas are given every Thursday for the following week, meaning you can not plan your life at all. If you tell management there are days you cannot work, expect to be put on a shift for those days. Missed pay on frequent occasions. Whistleblowing procedures are an absolute joke because all layers of management don't listen. Emails seem to get lost in the void. Shambles of a company, saved by the niceness of the service users. Not to mention, that the pay is not worth all of the stress that management place on you (only £9.74 an hour). Expect to be blamed for things out of your control as well because management will always need someone to take the fall. Weekend pay is also only 11p more than the regular pay.

Its ok if you don't want to have a life.

I worked my socks off for them and ended up having a heart attack from the stress. The hours aren't guaranteed, you're only paid for the minutes you spend on each visit - 30 minutes average. And you get used to having to clean up actual ...

good to work for

alina are a good company to work for. the hours i work are around my other half which is great as we have two kids. i have regular clients which is really important and my colleagues are knowledgeable. the training is good.

Really enjoy my work

I have been working for Alina Homecare for a while now and I really enjoy it. The office team are really supportive and the other carers I work with are great. Everyday is different. I get full support out of hours which I was anxious about when starting!!

Non supportive and miserable to work for

Services users amazingManagement, staff and staff morale all shot to pieces. No support, no protection for staff and no backup/backbone from management.Emergency taxes despite filling in. Relieve any forms.

Working with the clients can be very rewarding

Complete lack of support from the management, lack of staff cover. Being left on shift ,low wages. That said working with the clients is very rewarding and you do feel you are making a difference and helping them lead as fuller life as they can with Offices on what they can do not what they can't
