Slave labour
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - South Normanton, Derbyshire - 27 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNothing ever good enough. Worked into the ground for minimal pay management passing the buck constantly. No real management just a constant power trip. Only positive was colleagues were friendly and a laugh, made it bearable

New manager is a donkey
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Coleshill North - 30 October 2023
New management increased the work by double without ebough workers with no change in pay, works everyone to the bone and chills in the office the entire shift. A complete moron. It went from an enjoyable place to work at to a complete dumpster fire. Nitpicks like a waste of space aswell even though the work is done and on time.

You are counted as a number, not as an employee.
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - South Normanton, Derbyshire - 24 October 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The part time hours, as it helps with the childcare. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Poor management, unorganised management on the lines. If you're good on the picking line, they will move you all night to the busy one.Poor management, unorganised management on the lines. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not friendly. Most people do not speak English, so it is hard to work in a noncomunication environment. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I had the privilege to move to the office inventory part, which is totally different from the warehouse.

Don't get me wrong you've hard days like anywhere but the job itself is very good once the van is loaded, you're your own boss on the road and the lads in the depot always there to help

Easy going job
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire - 20 September 2023
Easy going job can be hard if you make it hard. Managers are a bit out of touch with the staff but if you do the job correctly then there's not much to be worried about. 6 day week isn't very good but the pay makes up for it. Loading the van is the worst part of the job if you have a heavy run. Colleagues are all good people. In all honesty it's a easy enjoyable job if you do the job correctly.

Disgusting company
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Leigh, Greater Manchester - 18 September 2023
Worked here for 18 months underpaid and overworked, they put guilt trips on you if you don't do overtime. One of the managers is an absolute joke they say stuff to you where there is no cameras and when you bring your union rep in they make you out to be a liar. When you give your notice in they promising you better things and they fail you. When you first start here managers seem nice but, then you see true colours. They make out they care about you but, don't be fooled. Only good side to working here is staff you can make a good group of friends.

Minimum Wage/ poor communication
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Exeter, Devon - 16 September 2023
Pay has always been an issue , no updates always just offers , never accepted. Communication severely lacks in this warehouse , there are no briefs and the team leaders clearly don’t know how to handle some of their staff

Good part time job
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 6 September 2023
Working here part time the hours and pay is good, and managers are very friendly, and overall it’s a decent job. Biggest downside is the location, which is difficult to get to if you don’t drive.

Overworked,poor management
Driver (Former Employee) - Hinckley, Leicestershire - 1 September 2023
Working hours between 52 and 60 hours 6 days a week, management often have zero experience and help their mates only.nothing is a good idea unless it's their idea no matter how sensible it is. pay seems good but you are worked hard for it and expected to get everything 100% even if you do you can still be blamed for anything they dream up.there is a culture of blame going down the line untill it hits the bottom and people who have no clue taking visible delight in using disciplinary action.managrment failings are routinely ignored or covered up.vehicle maintenance is a disgrace vans often overloaded.alliance will advertise as a large multi billion company which they are, from that you might expect decent vans, proper uniform, being able to take most of your holiday when you want, management replying to serious safety concerns you raise but guess what ! Expect none of this

Decent place to work
Warehouse Team Member (Current Employee) - Hinckley, Leicestershire - 24 August 2023
Not the worst place in the world to work, decent pay if you’re inexperienced, quite stressful but it comes with territory of providing for the NHS, management hasn’t been great but has improved recently. Good opportunities for young people.

Good job ruined by poor vans and bad management
Driver (Current Employee) - Hinckley, Leicestershire - 13 August 2023
The job itself is well paid and most of the customers at the drops are friendly and welcoming. But what ruins it is poor management. Most in the office have never actually worked as drivers. The vans are poorly maintained. And you won't be assigned a van for very long. Constant van swapping. Meaning people don't look after them. We have been put in vans with bald tryes. Full of rubbish. Not been washed for months. Great job but ruined by who runs it.

Never ever apply for a job at Alliance
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Derby, Derbyshire - 3 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? There is no good part to working for Alliance as a driver. Transport Managers do not have any compassion or interest in their staff. Routes are not timed correctly with no breaks incorporated into your working day. Everyday drivers ARE EXPECTED to work overtime to finish their route. Transport managers state they CAN make you work over 11 hours a day, they also state that you should not be working more than 60 hours a week, but drivers continuously do, and transport managers do not monitor drivers hours and breaks. Transport Managers are very quick to criticise drivers driving style by sending text messages to their epods and not take the time to speak to drivers. I would not recommend Alliance as an employer What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Working for a Alliance FULL STOP What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic, uncaring, no teamwork. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Stressfull and unrewarding !!!

Ok for the money
Driver (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 3 August 2023
Only 1 good manager and the rest are angry people. Good people to work with and quite a lot of hard tasks put on you if you’re a good worker since some people won’t do anything at all
