Terrible Company

The managers are bullies and they only pay 48 hours a week and if you work in the control room at there office the managers get you sweeping the street and they make you wash there cars and failure to do so will result in you losing your job. You are constantly being under scrutiny and they cant organise a party in a brewery and it is so un organised its a disaster waiting to happen this goes out to all other security companies they're all the same if I was you change your career it's all a mess

STAY AWAY. Every 5,4,3 or even 2* review is a lie

You're just a number.Management don't talk leading to mix ups constantly.Managers can't take no for an answer.Intimidation tactics used in order to get you to cover a site.Don't listen to guards requirements regarding life outside of work (i.e. kids, college and other commitments).Be prepared to be called at least twice a day.If you can't drive be prepared to pay half of your wages for the transport they "provide."Read the contract carefully, you will more than likely have to pay for the training and the uniform.They barely train you on sites and get you to sign a piece of paperwork that allows them to charge you for "training" if you leave the company within a year of this they will take that "training" money out of your payslip. Just don't work here if you want to have a life or value yourself.Loyalty is not rewarded, do not do any "favours" for the management, they will not reward this and will act like they were doing you a favour. The reason they have so much work is the fact that they have the lowest prices and majority of the guards get minimum wage regardless of work load. This is because anyone high up in the company doesn't care about the treatment of the employees.There are better security companies located in Crewe, I suggest you go to one of them instead.Everyone in the office is stuck up as a little bonus

Working at Alpha

Have worked here for a while and all seems good. I get paid on time and I see the company growing. Hopefully I will be here to see more growth and get promotion.

Not good at all.

Don’t waste your time with this company !! They will make you work around the clock with no rest and they couldn’t give a hoot about their staff as long as they got it covered they will leave you on site for hours ! Never know where you are at with them and there is definitely no future with this company at all unless you bark like a dog for them and they will probably throw you a treat.. not a very professional company at all..

miserable rat company with miserable rat management avoid this company with all costs everybody beep on everybody you value less than 0 for them extremely stressful job they cancel shifts without telling you and you go to site just to see there other guard in your place they modify your shifts very often charge for transport 7.2 one way that means that is you are transported by company car you will pay 14.4 a day - 2 transports transport highly unreliable they can forget to put you on transport list, or you can wait 3 hours for it. very long shifts 15-16 hours sometimes sometimes very long patrols 30-45 min/petrol and you need to do one patrol every hour they cancel and or modify your shifts without telling you extremely extremely often and speaking with a manager which wants to modify your shifts again and you realise that the they modify your shifts before and you are learning about this just in the moment when you speak with the manager thiefs - you need to calculate your salary extra carefully because all the time they pay you with some pounds less and take a very long time until they decide to give you something back - rare occasion

Nightmare

Management bully and threaten guards in to accepting shifts they don't have to. On-site training often doesn't happen, with guards left to wander in the dark without knowing where they're meant to go. Get booked outside of town for work and then forced to pay them out of wages to get you there. Feeling sick? Tough, get to work. Horrible company, couldn't be more glad to see the end of my time there.

Good for a first job

I did enjoy parts of the job but hated most mainly working night alone. You can learn a lot doing the job and may lead to other jobs in the same kind of sector. The hardest part are the long hours mainly nights and working alone most of the time.

Not a good company to work for

Not a good company to work for worked for them for close on two years the management treat the staff badley plus not very good with communications and they charge the staff a blow out fee if they miss a shift. Would not recommend them to anyone and they are bad for your health another thing with Alpha Omega is that they charge you for everything and when you leave the company you may not receive your last wage payment but for those people who want to join a company like this best of luck

Fun and rewarding

For the large part it was fun. The company would try to make me do control room duties on a site I was meant to be guarding. I was able to work full time nights and go college during the day. I could study between patrols. Perfect job for students. The company were silly about it - others watched TV, on their computer or even sleeping, and yet the problem seemed to be me studying. The job security has 3 stars because the hours weren't guaranteed (zero hours). The good thing was they noticed your worth if you worked hard and would always supply. The company provided free transport for which I was always grateful for.

Rely on people to be sick and miss a shift so they can fine you £20 each time you can't do a shift. Throw a tantrum when you can't work one of there shifts. Managers will argue with you like 16 year old children over the phone.don't waste your time here.

well run company

I enjoyed working for this company Its a pity they have no sites available nearer to my home. The contract was ended early by the client If another job became available I would be happy to work for them again
