Delivery Driver in Kenfig Hill, Bridgend
A fun enjoyable job and I can work when I want.
I love working for flex. Its a fun job in my own car and I can work what days I want and have as much time off as I want. Im my own boss which is also a positive and I love driving. Amazon flex is fantastic I love it. However I wish I could work more hours than I currently am. 24 hours isn't really enough but it still brings a solid salary in weekly.
Courier/Delivery Driver in Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Long hours, rarely time for breaks, poor navigation system particularly in rural areas, sometimes to many parcels to fit in your van. Spent most days racing round to get finished. Regularly ended up going up lanes or drives with no turning areas so had to reverse back down in the dark, which ironically was one of Amazon’s safety policies not to ever reverse.
Multi Drop Delivery Driver in Exeter
Good for topping up income
Depot staff are great, although they're so busy they don't have time to answer questions when you start, so you need to be able to think on your feet.Delivery blocks allocated are often unrealistic, so expect to take longer than time set. Also if you have to return to depot with parcels that are cancelled by customer you are not paid for the time that this will take.I enjoy the work, seeing people happy to get their goods and it is good exercise as you need to go quickly between each delivery. I have a lot of rural areas, so these blocks always take longer than the allotted time, often there are private lanes to travel down to properties that are 'first gear' advisable! Also with rural the deliveries show on the app as a minute to next drop.......not possible on minor narrow roads without endangering other road users! Also recommend getting a signal booster for your mobile phone, to ensure the app works constantly....again, rural areas can be problematic.

Flexible opportunity to earn some extra income delivering parcels using your own car
Pro's - you can deliver parcels when you have spare time , offers are given on the flex app with times and pay which you can choose to accept . You load parcels into your car at the pick up station and the app navigates you to the customers addresses, the drop off locations provided by the app is usually very accurate but rarely it can navigate you through narrow back lanes. Sometimes they offer increased pay rates at short notice especially for evening blocks. Usually the delivery routes can be completed before scheduled end time if you organise the packages when loading your vehicle and if it's not dark. Cons - zero hour contract, you have to check the app for offers, but usually delivery blocks are available everyday, the standard rate of pay is poor considering the fuel cost, too many stops and parcels for the allocated time. Sometimes you have to cover a lot of distance, occasionally you have to deliver to apartments which is not easy, sometimes you deliver to farms through poor roads which can damage your car's suspension . So overall the pay is poor for the effort you put in. Night time deliveries in the dark can be a bit difficult. Sometimes customers are not in to receive delivery. So I would recommend accepting increased pay blocks otherwise it's not really worth it unless you don't have any other job
