To be safe ask your insurance company and take your own for me I was paying £51 a month for my insurance and I rang them to ask and they said no if I did amazon Flex Delivery so I took my own business insurance which cost me an extra £20 a month. So I'm covered no matter what. To me there must be a catch somewhere when have you ever got free insurance for anything?
Yes no problem
No I can do my on insurance
It did use to be free but you have the option now to purchase it via amazon. However, even if you do this check with your own insurance company. There may be a clause in your policy that specifically excludes courier work. If so, even with the additional cover from amazon your own policy would be void. It comes under misrepresentation if you signed up with social, omestic/pleasure and commuting when you took the policy out. Their position may be that if you wanted to use the vehicle for business this should have been declared at sign up.
Amazon flex do give you free insurance for now but it has a £500 Excess for the slightest bump.
No, check before hand
You will be required to provide your own insurance.
