Easy flexible job

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Given blocks of hours (1-5) to make deliveries within a given time frame. Can finish earlier. If you enjoy driving it's good fun. Some long journeys far from where you live can be annoying, but generally given okay routes and easily finish on time/

Stressful but free

Poor managment, poor pay, poor appreciation of workers, etc. unorganized routes. No support with real issues. Bad attitudes if all parcels weren't delivered no matter the reason.

Just a Statistic

Job really simple, Branded Van supplied, great bunch of drivers and the odd freebie of Amazon , a rare chance of bonusFeel like just a statistic.ridiculous amount of stops and parcels couldn’t take a break without risking failing a route. wouldn’t get any extra money if the Volume was higher in our route than usualStarting times are late in the day wouldn’t get to your first stop till 12 and be delivering into the evening any unsuccessful stops would have to be reattempted after your route Any feedback on the ‘Driver Feedback’Are simply justified by Amazon instead of acting uponNo company benefits at allSelf employedNo Sick payNo Holiday payNo employment rightsContract can be terminated whenever they feel like itBut treated like employee so you have rota you can have ‘Holidays’ denied by contractor

Not too bad

Employment is okay. You have good days when you finish within you booked session bad days when you work over and do not get paid. Usually have your insurance paid for you but this will be finishing soon.

Depends where you live and what vehicle you drive whether this will be good for you

Flexibility of this job is good however you won't get many shifts unless you live in a big city. Fuel price also makes it harder to earn a living when you consider you have to pay for your own fuel. Having a car or van that gets good miles to the gallon is important

Delivery Driver Flex

Decent job but not something to do full time unless you're actually working for them rather than the app. Unforunately wage isn't the best. If they put the wage up by another £2-3 an hour then it would atleast cover fuel expenses and other expenses and now having to pay insurance.Unfortunately can go overtime and can be not paid for the distance you need to travel. They don't cover the time you travel there or back.It had taken me 50mins to get back home from wherever they sent me to but they would not pay me for the time even though it was over my 3h block and was more of a 4-5h block due to the distance I had to travel.

Hard place to work in

Hard palace to work in, you never know when they will decide to end your contract, same repetitive work with no improvement, management does not want to know people

Don't waste your time and life.

No job security at all when they are using you as machine when new person and people find out they will kick you off. Company will no take any responsibility of your financial dependence on the company. But make your responsibility for everything which happened bad. And will not allow you to prove any justification Even DPS will not help you

Low pay, not much work.

Very low pay considering your a self employed driver. Some jobs really aren’t worth doing when you calculate the cost of fuel, vehicle maintenance and tax/insurance.You book your own work so there’s a plus but there’s so many more negative points. You book jobs that are between 2.5 and 4 hour blocks. The start times are annoying because you hardly ever get any work before midday and to make things worse the midday block usually runs over the start times for an evening block. The worse part is the cost of fuel, the second worst is you never know which route you have until you arrive at the depot. You could have a 90 minute drive ahead of you to your first delivery and by time the routes finished you could even be 2 hours from home. Then someone in the car next to you could have the same 3 hour block with the same money (if not more!) and they could have their first delivery within one mile from the depot and even have less drops than you. I’ve see some people arrive and get less than five local deliveries and someone else has a whole cage worth of parcels (around 40 to 50 deliveries). It really is a lucky dip! Although I don’t think I’m highly liked by the amazon marshals as I never get local routes or less that 30 drops.Customer support are useless, you may as well go and talk to a seagull. No better job rates for working nights/weekends or bank holidays. If your thinking of joining up then good luck to you, it may work out for some people but for me I refuse to work for free after paying out for fuel and everything.Mostly the routing is very poor too and the map navigation -

Nice to meet new people and easy job.

Very poor pay. Poor routing. No support.

Earnings very low due to deisel costs

Amazon pay the same rates in 2022 as they did in 2019. They refuse to factor in recent diesel price increases and the cost of living. To make things worse you are offered insufficient delivery opportunities to make it pay, it is unpredictable and even if you make yourself available for work you are restricted in what you are allowed to earn. Once I reach around £250 for week they stop giving you any more delivery blocks (they don't let you know, so you end up sitting around, checking your phone, hoping to get blocks). This company is ridiculous when it comes to dealing with drivers and I have been owed money on 2 occasions which I haven't received, when you contact them they ignore you. Amazon look after their customers and treat their staff like they don't exist.

flexible hours

Restricted earnings and don't deal with staff, they ignore drivers.

Flexible shifts and can work whenever you want.

Good flexibility. Not much else good about the job. Left on your own and treated with contempt when you contact driver support. Threatened to have your position terminated if you miss a block.

Waste of time

Would not work for this company again they do not care about there workers the only thing there interested in is delivering parcels and paying pennies

Long hours no breaks used

Long hours, minimum pay.,

I work for a DSP (delivery service partner) of Amazon so I’m effectively a sub contractor to Amazon. So few handy insights now I’ve been there a while. 1. DONT DONT rent a van to do this. It’s the biggest mistake you’ll make. Amazon keep the nice city routes for their own drivers that use the visible blue Amazon branded vans and use the DSP drivers with their own vans for the dreadful country routes. You’ll be down farm yard lanes that’ll tear your van apart. You’ll pay 1k a month for van rental so this means the first two days of every week is for the van rental. You’ll feel the pressure as this is a zero hour contract set up. Nothing is sure. 2. As mentioned zero hour contract. Speaks for itself. 3. Your route that you’re assigned (if you get one) can be about 90 minutes from the pick up depot. So that means when your route is finished you’ll need to drive back again 90 minutes. You are paid for the mileage currently (July 2022) set at 26p a mile but it feels your giving this time for free. 4. Some of the drops can be particularly challenging. You’ll be down narrow urban roads with no parking on either side. You’ll need to stop the van and block the road while you unload the parcels/packages. This is a NIGHTMARE especially in bad weather. 5. Whilst the Amazon Flex app is impressive its not without its faults. Finding flats in particular can be frustrating. The app does show house names and numbers which are a big help but still needs improvement. 6. In the run up to Christmas you’ll be flat out but it’s generally accepted in January it’s a write off. So beware. You’ll -

About average

Very average pay, no training given and had to use your own car and van. Routes were poorly planned and no support was given if items damaged etc.. wouldn’t bother tbh

Poor pay

Good but competitive

It’s a great way to earn a side income granted you manage to click on the jobs in time as the blocks randomly come out and it’s first come first serve but the works okay, the app when it works has a great sat nav too. Some blocks you can deliver 2 parcels, nice and easy other times it could be 50 parcels in the centre of the city when nobody is in and parking is difficult.

Great Job

Choose own delivery slots depending how much you want to earn, easy to use app, fuss-free parcel collection, plenty staff on hand to help, in-app help too, free water and tools supplied at the warehouse to do your job. Excellent.

Work on your own

Morrisons shifts. not worth it

The pay does not reflect the petrol and cost of living rise. It’s flexible and can be interesting to see new places but unless you can get really enhanced rates it’s just not worth it!

Interesting, very challenging

Good working with bastion logistics. Nice work colleagues. I wouldn’t mind working for Amazon again. I love their professionalism. I will recommend amazon flex to anyone.

Disgusting work conditions

Absolutely awful company to work with. All the depot staff are stuck-up and straight up rude. The depot themselves give drivers shocking routes that always will damage the cars. The pay is also shocking considering inflation at 9% and also the rise in living costs. Your basically working to fuel your car and have a take home pay of about £5-10 per block. Avoid!

Anything that comes to mind

Chilled back work but pay no longer worth it

Before petrol prices increased, I would say that the job was somewhat worth it, listening to your music while delivering Parcels in a given time frame. Now the pay isn’t worth it as the petrol cost comes out of your wage!
