Disappointed
Area Manager (Former Employee) - Bristol - 21 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedRated them 3 stars from opportunities point of view. Unrealistic amount of work within a company where manager is just a job title rather than doing what you are meant to do.

Draining Place to work
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Doncaster, South Yorkshire - 21 September 2023
Amazon is a great place to work if you need money quickly. However, it isn't a long term place to work. As it can be very draining over the week and they try to squeeze everything out of you.

Good for career growth.
Area Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 September 2023
Good opportunities for growth and development both personally and professionally - managing large teams from the get go. However very cut throat environment with a big sink or swim culture.

Awful place to work
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Mansfield, Nottinghamshire - 21 September 2023
No job security, could be fired next week if theyve accidentally overhired, then force you to sign a document saying you won't challenge the decision.

Hard work
Stower (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 20 September 2023
I've been working in the warehouse for a few weeks now. Standing on my feet for 9 hours was difficult at first but then I got used to it. The salary is high and there is minimal contact with management. All processes are optimised but know that you are being watched every second.

Bad communication
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Rugeley, Staffordshire - 17 September 2023
Good place to work, not good at telling people early enough when they get rid of you as they told me 2 weeks before my contract ended they weren’t gonna renew it.

Jobs at Amazon Warehouse
Warehouse Storing chemical products but no air ventilation
Order Picker (Former Employee) - Deeside - 17 September 2023
Amazon do not pay attention to unhealthy air quality in warehouse from thousands of chemical products. I like doing the picking job, working with the people and being part of the team. The salary is good and I enjoy the shift working four on four off. Unfortunately breathing all the chemical is not healthy on the long run.
Pros
Picking Work is good
Cons
Inhaling to much chemical products, not healthy.

They let you go with a few days notice. But was fun to work there over Christmas and I would do back for seasonal work. You had to work a weekend mind,

Good pay, toxic employees
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 17 September 2023
The job is hard, however keeps you fit and active. Gossip culture between associates, favouritism culture, toxic atmosphere. Good pay for overtime. It felt like im in high-school again, a lot of drama and romance between employees.

Disconnected management making job changing decisions without consulting any experienced staff and making the working system impossible.
Yard Marshal T3 (Current Employee) - Farrington, Preston - 16 September 2023
I have worked with some good people at Amazon and keep in touch with some people who have left. The management are detached from reality and have no common sense, the worst thing is that they make the decisions and cause lots of detrimental situations to health and safety and cause bad working practice causing employees to be stressed and unnecessarily fatigued.
Pros
Local
Cons
Stressful Environment

Back breaking work. Night shift was long and tiresome but most managers were good others switch like a light switch. Fast paced. Long hours. Made some good friends

Poorly managed and understaffed
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Avonmouth - 13 September 2023
Amazon BRS1 is poorly managed and outside of peak times very understaffed. Employees are poorly trained and pushed to exhaustion most of the time. Health and safety is often forgotten about due to lack of staff and quantity over quality is definitely the focus.
Pros
Good pension
Cons
Overworked and underpaid

Boring
Fulfillment Associate (Former Employee) - Bolton, Greater Manchester - 13 September 2023
Best warehouse job for pay (nights). You won't get a permanent contract. Every single shift is the same boring stuff and are expected to meet targets even when not physically possible

Decent place
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Leyland, Lancashire - 12 September 2023
Days are fairly similar, pay is ok, there are overtime opportunities. However be prepared to walk anything between 10 and 15km a day. Can also be physically demanding lifting heavy objects and pushing cages full of parcels/bags.
