Long and hard, no stopping

Asked to change my shift pattern to look after my sick parent. Request was declined. They claim to offer a good work life balance but you go to work and are alienated, can’t speak to your colleagues and the day shifts are at unreasonable hours (7:40am-6:10pm) by the time you finish work, you have no time to do anything outside of work other than sleep as you’re exhausted.
