Hard work but good pay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
As a 19 year old getting £115-£130 a day isn't bad, company I'm with are quite friendly and understanding however its a big work load and you're constantly rushing for about 10 hours streight with minimal time for breaks. Consumes your whole day as I leave my house at 10am and get home at 9.30 pm. Doing a couple days a week whilst at uni is good for me but very physically demanding

Mixed Bag: Amazon

Working with Amazon Flex in the UK has its perks, but the earnings can be a bit hit or miss. The flexibility is great for those who need it, but the pay may not always align with expectations.During peak times, the earnings are more promising, but there are moments when the workload is inconsistent. It's crucial to be strategic with your schedule to maximize income. The app's user-friendliness is a plus, making it easy to navigate deliveries. However, it's essential to consider that the compensation might not always reflect the time and effort invested. In conclusion, Amazon Flex offers flexibility, but if you're solely relying on it for substantial income, be prepared for some uncertainty. It's advisable to weigh the pros and cons based on your financial goals and availability.

Very stressful job!

What is the best part of working at the company?Best part is to have nice working area but they change it in every 3 months so you have to pray to get better delivery area! What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Every day you don’t know how many parcels and stops you have to do. It’s between 170 and 300 parcels and 100 180 stops. You can expect this every day! What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Stressful and unfriendly! No English people! What is a typical day like for you at the company? In the morning you load the van at the depo and start going to your first stop. All day rush and run like crazy!

Hard

Not bad not good just for find different job after leaving...I mean good until you find another job ,bit hard and long day to work Money good job not really easy

Easy work if you're fit and able

work can be good if its an easy day with a day rate meaning you can work 6 hours and get paid for the full day double work compared to other couriers.

Pros

easy day if quick

Cons

big workload, no breaks, poor maintenance on vehicles

Job

Poor job would avoid at all costs. Expect you to stay out till your van is empty or you have tried the same customer at least two or three times which is just nonsense knocking doors past 9 at night

Bad

Deliver parcels to people, using a van. Also have to load own van and so safety checks on van. Overall its a good job I recommen. Responsible for hiring own van

So far so good

Have been on to two days training courses, feeling very organized and details on everything. Seems every package is sorted for you to speed up thhe delivery speed. High package count is expected to be delivered per day. Not sure if it’s doable. DSP keep hiring people and only self employed, looks like turnover rate is high anyway.

Consistent work but low pay

The best thing about Amazon is that they ALWAYS have work, other than that though, the hours can be long and you’re technically not paid for all the time collecting the van, waiting in line, loading packages or returning to the depot so the money can end up working out less than minimum wage PLUS you’re self employed. Great if you have absolutely nothing else but not one to do if you have other options

Productive and fun.

What is the best part of working at the company?Amazing friendly people. Manager I worked for couldn’t do enough for you. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Large quantity of parcels needing to be delivered in 8 hours, sounds easy but depends on the area you’re located. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Amazing, made you feel like family What is a typical day like for you at the company?Really nice, not stressful.Odd days can be boring as you’re lone working but other then that amazing.

Slave labour

Its one thing to have unrealistic targets but when you fall further behind on them due faulty equipment provided by the DSP, management don’t care, will do barely anything to help other than covering their own backs to hit their metrics. If they need something done they will happily have you go out of your way and inconvenience yourself them with nothing in return other than a reluctant ‘thanks’. Will cancel your shifts without notice or good reasoning just to prove a point

Demanding role for not very exciting pay

You are expected to carry out a lot of deliveries each day for quite a rubbish amount of money. They recruit heavily during the Christmas period when they give higher rates of pay and then drop the amount once the new year is in.Good if you want to work on your own and don't mind jumping in and out of the van at least 100 times per day.

Do not go there

Probably the worst place to work. Long hours, massive amount of drops per day and they all look at you like a number in the computer. Does not worth the money

Hard work but worth it

Every day is not the same but as days went by I got used to the system and routes. It is challenging but rewarding at the same time. If you have a strong work ethic then you can easily do these job

Good

Driver

If you can find a good route for delivery, keep it. Can be difficult to meet targets on average 10 parcels an hour, so very little time for breaks etc but pay is ok.

Pros

Own boss

Cons

Long hours

the worst DSP for Amazon

Goldbrooks az is the worst dsp you can work for, in DLU2, my first two invoices were incorrect, the first payment was incorrect. They cut routes every week, and the communication with the manager is awful. I totally recommend to stay away from them at DLU2. i moved DSP, and hope it will be better.
