Good wage but long hours

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The pay is good but then again you’re working long hours for you to climb up the ladder is almost impossible you either have to really please people or work super hard and you still don’t get noticed because managers have favourites.. also if you have health conditions and sick days they will never give you a contract even if you have letters from doctors

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Long hours, same work for 4 days 10hr shifts

A horrible place to work

Amazon want's you to work for it and don't think you'll get a rest from everyone looking over your shoulder to see if you're giving 150% it will kick you out without giving consideration to what will happen and don't think you can be human being PC is the only way to exist.

Heard some horror stories but I did not have any problems

As long as you are prepared to work and not just stand around you will have no problems. I worked hard and was recognised and respected for this by the Manager

Pros

Free drinks cheap meals. Free COVID tests if you wanted them

Cons

Temp contracts

Horrible place

If you hire a van from this they take £200 a week off you and they also take some wages off you for some fuel cost. Some weeks it can be between £80-£100 and other weeks it can be considerably more leaving you short for the week

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Long hours

Save your money and then get out

One of the best salaries and benefits for a job that is open to anyone and everyone. But its not a place to stay at all its very monotonous and not much opportunity unless you want to lead in your own department, or if you have a degree. HR and managers are usually fresh from uni and have no clue what they’re doing. Use this place to save money and then move on to something better. They accommodate part time shifts for people who need to go uni after you have been there for a certain amount of time.

Pros

Good salary and benefits, easy access parking

Cons

Long shifts, poor management/HR, growth only possible with degree

Lack of training and stress

Very little training after 6 months im still clueless by alot of the job, a lack of communication by the superiors and the team members their are way to many supervisors, who tell you to do it one way and then someone else will come in and say they want it done another way

Pros

Good Pay

Cons

Long tiring hours

Paid weekly

Good money, bad everything else

They expect way too much (even of new recruits), targets are unrealistic, hours are horrendous with no room for negotiation, management doesn’t care, minimum 4 day contracts (even if they advertise for part time, if it’s through a recruitment “cough” PMP “cough”).The pay is good but the job will take over your life & in my case, make you miserable, proceed with caution

Pros

£11.80 an hour & weekly pay

Cons

Everything else, long hours, no flexibility, minimal breaks, unrealistic targets, feels like Working in prison
