Support Worker/Carer (Current Employee) - Bedfordshire - 9 September 2016

Ambition 24 is an agency which gave me the opportunity to work anywhere they get contracts; and this helped me to become an adaptable individual. This enabled me to be able to experience a typical day work for a wide range of different care settings from working with clients with dementia, physical disabilities, autism , mental health illness from alcohol and drugs misuse etc. the most enjoyable part of working for an agency is that you are not on a fixed rota and you get to pick shifts that suit your lifestyle. However the financial downside is that no fixed hours means no fixed pay, therefore at times you need more hours, to cover a sudden expense etc, you are not always guaranteed to get a shift straight away.
