While this job was fun and you have a lot of interesting conversations with people, the social media selling route is only effective if you know many people in order to keep up sales enough for this to be lucrative. I imagine that doing the parties are similar, though I had no bookings.
Pros
25% discount, working from home, commision based, frequent sale periods
Cons
Can have long dry spells, people can be put off by the brand name, getting people to commit to buying something

Working as a party planner is fun for a while but can become mundane and exhausting when there are little sales. You can also feel unsupported as well.

Party plan is extremely flexible and friendly, so is suitable for a range of women. Where it is commission based it can be as little or as much as you want it to be, meaning you can mold it around your current lifestyle.
Pros
25% discount on party plan catalogue, meeting new people, flexible.

I love working freelance as an Ann Summers Party Ambassador. I can work around family life however this is a party plan business and the parties are how you make your money but unfortunately you don't get enough bookings all the time and can be left with nothing at all to pay your bills or live off. Perfect job for me but only if I can do this along side a permanent full time/part time job with continuous wages.
Pros
extra income and fun
Cons
not enough to live off as a normal full time job

I really enjoy my role within Party Plan. There are many incentives that take place which help keep you motivated to do the role to the best of your ability, the leaders are very helpful and want everyone to succeed.

- I work in the evenings.- I've learnt how to manage a small business, how to sell specific items to specific people, customising my service to meet certain people's needs and wants to make their shopping experience one to remember and encourage them to return.- I report to my Unit Organiser or Area Manager who deals out our sales targets, competitions, awards etc.- I don't have co-workers as such, we are more like a team of girls who are out to help eachother with our businesses, but they are really bubbly, up for a laugh but can stay professional when they need to.- The hardest part of the job is finding the clientele, and keeping our work going to get us a steady income.- The most enjoyable part of the job is the fact that I work when I want to, and my possibilities are endless! I can have fun whilst at work -- it doesn't feel like I'm working!
Pros
30% discount on items, free delivery, earn as much as i want when i want
Cons
finding customers can be hard

Its a good company to work for. I started as a Party Organiser which was basical doing Ann Summers Parties in peoples houses, with this role I used to sale the products out of the catalogues, process orders, process card/cash payments and deliver products to the customers. I was then promoted to a Unit Organiser which then role became more challenging as I was still partying as a sales rep but I was also attended monthly meeting in Cannock, I was also doing training workshops and training nights, I was also doing unit meeting once a month and I was also doing age of debt (this is the outstanding amount on my teams accounts), I was did interims (this is where i could see that my team had banked in the month). I ran a team of 15 girls in my time as a Unit Manager
Pros
30% staff discount
Cons
its a commission based job
