Fun, collaborative & rewarding
I've been a casual waiter at one of their venue's for a couple of summers now, i've been given the opportunity to work at other venue's when they have opening party's or big weddings. The managers are all realy talented and supportive, they give clear instructions and the training is great, but if you have an idea or want to set up a drinks station or evening buffet in your own style, they'll help and guide you so it look's great but it's your acheivement. The guests are all usually lovely, it is a wedding afterall! The day's can be long if you sign up for a full shift, but as you can pick and choose what shifts you want, it often works quiet well.

Venue catering was an interesting company to work for , working in weddings is a mix of high intensity bursts followed by periods of less intense work. The culture among the team is excellent and very supportive and the managers often feel supportive and on your side . Most contracts are zero hour which makes sense for the wedding economy obviously they don't want to limit earning potential in summer months but over the winter they cannot justify the creation of needless jobs.Due to the lower entery barrier the pay is fair but due to being casual staff there are no benefits to speak of.
