Unprofessional
I worked for artisan people from November 2018- January 2019. They would message you the day before asking you to do a shift. Pressure you to do as many shifts as you can. One time my child was unwell and I phoned in the morning the receptionist was rude and told me to call back. When I called back I couldn’t get through to anyone so I left a text. On my next shift one of the staff was being rude and telling me I can’t just cancel on them as it’s a busy time. I was outraged as my child was sick. I was waiting for my next shift it never came. Then I had an email a few months later with my P45. I didn’t even know I had been dismissed. So so unprofessional

Avoid at all costs
Treated like dirt in stores by permanent staff and management. They look down on you as an agency worker. Artisan is a terrible agency avoid they don’t help or support you at all. You don’t get any thanks for selling or commission it’s totally unfair

Fun and friendly agency
I worked for Artisan over the Christmas period 2018 and was offered lots of shifts on various high quality fragrances. Unfortunately after Christmas therewas no work offered so i had to leave.

Upbeat and fast paced workplace
The pay is good. Opt for skin care it’s £10 an hour. The jobs they give are quite good as long as you apply right time (Christmas period) to get a good amount of shifts. Always send in availability and do well in store so Managers ask for you back giving you more shifts in favour over others. Only thing is that staff can be very unprofessional as I was threatened to be fired while trying to cancel last minute for a GP appointment. Thus I quit myself and also sometimes they pay you late, not all the time but it happens. The money is good tho when they give you tons of shifts :)

Horrible and belittling
At the start, you'll feel you really hit the jackpot with Artisan. The management will be amazing, really making you feel welcome, you'll be promised shifts upon shifts and extensive availability for more hours and more work. Little do you realize they are simply creating a pool of people they can call last minute, which is fair enough considering they're an agency. BUT if you dare call in sick, or a death or anything you can possibly think of, it's never ever going to be good enough even if you just blew up on the m25; it's your job to let them know within 24 hours prior. they're very dehuminized people, the only goal is their pockets. Do not complain about artisan managers to anyone else at the airport as they'll find out some how and you'll see your shifts decline to 1 a month.
