Fun work place
Shop Assistant (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 16 December 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOk place to work and met some great friends. Management kept changing and wasn’t always the friendliest. Hours were fine but pay could have been better

bad place to work for
checkout operator (Former Employee) - leeds west yorkshire - 29 January 2023
you didn`t get the support from supervisors when you needed it also if you were ill some mangers didn`t believe you and would question you about your illness, staff members just walk off when it got busy and then you were stuck to help customers on your own and when you asked for help staff members would give you a funny look
Pros
none
Cons
no support, no advancement

Great people. Bad management
Merchandising Analyst (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 29 November 2022
There is always someone to help. Everyone really friend. Work is very fast paced, sometimes making decisions too quickly without thinking Some very weak managers, they didn't really understand the role. Other in the team were always getting away with not doing much when the rest had to pick up there work. Always worked longer hours
Pros
The people
Cons
Long hours with no overtime

Productivity
Social Media Advisor (Former Employee) - Leeds - 14 November 2022
Lots of micro managing and it was all about productivity productivity productivity. I understand targets but it was ridiculous. I worked through an agency and was told that I was moving to another agency without being asked if I was ok with it first. It wasn’t all bad, the team were really helpful and friendly and I did enjoy the job but it was all about quantity not quality and I cannot work like that. Lots of cutting were being made by others.
Pros
Work from home. Car park. Free tea and coffee.
Cons
Very target driven

A simply wonderful place to work
Employee Relations Advisor (Former Employee) - Leeds - 6 November 2022
An organisation that lives it’s values. Takes time to develop its people and cares about its customer. It taught me a lot and whilst it wasn’t perfect (where is?!) it was a brilliant place to work.

Jobs at ASDA
in LeedsI loved the job and people.
I loved the job and the people. I loved fresh flowers and making flowers for the customer but there are more managers than workers. Always care about sales and do not care about workers.
Pros
Love customer and people.
Cons
low pay, too much to work to do, work at weekends. slae sale sale !!

Decent pay but unrealistic working targets
Asda Colleague (Former Employee) - Leeds - 22 October 2022
The pay is decent. Not sure about the unrealistic targets they set though, not enough workers to meet these targets either. New workers often quit, for a variety of reasons I’m sure, but not surprising with the amount they expect you to do whilst being understaffed.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Unrealistic expectations

Felt like one big family
Shop Floor Assistant (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 12 September 2022
Was generally a good place to work, had its ups and downs like everything else. Some staff were difficult & made life hard for the managers & vice versa but I suppose its like that everywhere.

Good work life balance
Supply Planner (Current Employee) - Leeds - 22 June 2022
Good company and mostly nice laid back people. Need to be willing to learn a lot pretty quickly and often times there is no one best way to get things done, so the better skilled the person who trains you is, the more confident you will be when you start on your own.
Pros
Supportive people
Cons
Parking spaces limited

Fast paced but a great job
Replenishing (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 29 May 2022
I really enjoy my job, you're mainly left to get on with it which suits me. Most of the people are lovely. Only downside for me is lack of communication between managers and too many chiefs!!!
Pros
10% discount

Worst job I've ever had.
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 12 May 2022
Who ever does logistics needs a new job. Vans get sent all over and constantly chasing your tail. Sent an hour out for one drop to come back to where you have been before then. No time for their staff to organise their ID on the network so they can say check payslips, book holidays and so on otherwise you can't do any of these. Pay is 4 weekly but one week in hand and cut off is a week before pay day so if you apply MAKE SURE you apply last week of the month if you don't want to be in financial arrears because of how slack they are with informing you of these details. You will be asked to go driving before you even get trained in the job which is ok until they send you out on an over loaded van to the busiest route. Constantly asking for overtime because drivers always knock or leave due to how poorly the company is run. Great job if they knew what they were doing.. My recommendation is stay well clear if you enjoy your personal time and sociable hours.
