What would you suggest Aspens Charities management do to prevent others from leaving?

    Thanks for your comments. We have recently reviewed how we support our staff during their probationary periods, as well as our more established staff. We are always keen to understand why staff leave us, using exit interviews to collect said information. We use a range of ways to highlight staff going above and beyond including vouchers, flowers, additional annual leave etc. Our turnover (c20%) whilst high, is considerably lower than the national average in social care which is c30%

  • There is only so much your manager can do. Mine is very supportive and fair but some things that should not happen do because we are so short staffed

  • look after the staff like you actually care about them and treat them with respect

  • Support your staff
