I love what I do
SEND Teaching Assistant (Current Employee) - Stourbridge, West Midlands - 27 December 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAs an agency TA you feel very pushed back going into some schools as the staff think very little of you and do not think you know what you are doing. They make you feel very belittles. However, the lady I get my work through is lovely. She is understanding of my needs and wishes. Only problem is I have not been given any training so unable to go into many schools for this reason

Unfortunately it’s not for me.
SEN Teaching Assistant (Former Employee) - Burton-On-Trent, Staffordshire - 6 November 2023
-Didn’t listen to my availability due to childcare and got slightly annoyed at me when i said I was not available. - Required part time work again for childcare reasons and I was always offered full time work with no flexibility suppose this is great for other people but not for me. - Late night phone calls to arrange work for the following day.
Pros
Experience within more than one school.
Cons
Didn’t listen to my availability

Good opportunities
Supply Teaching Assistant (Former Employee) - Coventry - 22 September 2023
Good to pick where you want to work, fair pay, they find work which suits you, your experience and hours you need. They can lack some communication though.
Pros

Cons
Communication

Recruitment people ignore all messages
Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Current Employee) - Dudley - 21 September 2023
The job itself working for a school is perfect but the issue is with the people who find the jobs. Working with this agency, there is very little job security, your placement could be removed at a days notice and the people who are finding you the jobs end up ignoring your questions and/or providing false/wrong information.
Pros
You get a job
Cons
Messages regarding work are ignored, provided the wrong information on multiple occasions, lack of communication from staff members… etc

Terrible service
Supply TA (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 6 July 2023
Truly deplorable service throughout. Never paid consistently, misleading payslips, incorrect timesheets they don't let you see. They do not tell you of charges they or other companies will take from your wages or how much they will take. They can even text you the day before pay day to say you won't be paid because of mistakes that they have made and take absolutely no accountability for. Aspire cannot be trusted.
Pros
Found a lovely client to work for
Cons
Aspire people take no accountability for their mistakes and blame others

Supply Teacher
Supply Teacher (Current Employee) - Birmingham - 1 July 2023
Great company to work for, but they are VERY clever about selling you the day rate. They aren't really bothered if you've had 10 years of teaching experience and you really have to haggle your way to a negotiated rate with them. They sadly won't see your expertise and will manage to make as much money out of you as possible. However, they do promise you and guarantee you regular work which is an all win, and has saved my sanity if i'm honest! Overall a good company to work for, but they really need to consider their pay rates to the teachers out there who really do deserve it.
Pros
Regular work
Cons
Money

Classic Agency
Teacher Assistant (Former Employee) - Walsall - 9 May 2023
Felt very unappreciated here. Pay was very low considering I have all the necessary qualifications. Often felt like I was being set up for failure, then made to feel like it was my own fault when a job was lost.
Pros
None
Cons
No workLife balance or dependability on income

Supportive team
Supply Teacher (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 14 March 2023
Best supply agency I have ever worked for. Listen your needs and are honest about assignments, the good and the bad. Pay fairly and on time. Treat you like a human being not just a CV that they need to place in a role.

Absolutely Brilliant
Teaching Assistant (Former Employee) - Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 3 March 2023
I’d been with Aspire for just around a year and they have been the best agency I’ve worked with yet. They handled my queries and issues beautifully- and if I had a chance I would go back again.

Opportunities! Management is always 100%
Office Administrator (Current Employee) - Cannock - 23 February 2023
I’ve had so much wonderful opportunities, my manager is always on the other line if I need her for anything big or small. The best thing is I can say yes or no to a new job. I’ll try a school but if it doesn’t suit me or my lifestyle then my manager will find something else and there is never any guilt or made to feel bad for voicing my opinion. I love working for Aspire People.
Pros
Working in education, new jobs
Cons
It’s not permanent, it’s mostly temp work.

An above average Supply teaching agency.
Supply Teacher (Former Employee) - Lincolnshire - which was a bit off their area at the time. - 19 August 2020
As above - it is some years since I last worked there. When work location was known everything was well set up giving me the best possible opportunity to work productively in the workplace. Aspire forged good relationships with their schools and Supply Teachers.
Pros
Genuine effort to match you to suitable placements.
Cons
Insecurity of supply work.

Its okay

It was an okay experience, the work offered was 30 miles outside of the agreed travel distance. The work was unsecure and few and far between regarding days.

Lack of communication
Supply Teacher (Former Employee) - Leicestershire - 24 November 2019
In the 6 months I was signed with them, I only had 3 days of work.I had to travel for over an hour and communication was lacking. I was offered teaching assistant roles twice but for less than teacher pay and at an hours journey it wasn't worthwhile. I had been told I wouldn't have to travel any further than 30 mins to a school. The shortest distance I travelled the journey to 1 hour without bad traffic.
I had 10 years of experience across EYFS and the Primary Phase and felt very disappointed by the job offers recieved.
The consultant I had didn't seem to have a good knowledge of areas close by to me. I live inbetween Leicester and Coventry yet was sent to Stamford to work. The consultants didn't communicate between one another or share information effectively.
