I learnt that if you move from Assurant you'll realise what a work/life balance is and how a company should be run. The management is one big clique and lazy, if some of them knew what time management was they wouldn't need to get so stressed. They try there hardest to sack the under performers so there stats don't look so poor, when they should be providing coaching so people can improve. The most enjoyable part of the job was handing my notice in and being free from there.
Pros
leaving
Cons
Shift rotation (lack of)
Honestly the best job I ever worked in! Assurant were such an amazing company to work for and I truly have no faults for the company!! Greats benefits and everyone was so friendly and they really looked after you, it felt very home from home, managers were lovely which is a bonus as they aren’t always!
Pros
Make amazing friends, good benefits
Cons
Nothing
Good as an in between job but the pay was awful for the hours done, felt like a child in a school from the management. If you asked a question you felt like you’re a burden or just stupid
I absolutely hated it there, unrealistic targets and clicky management, management would comment on small things about you and make you feel small, if you’re a favourite then you’ll move on to do more work, if they don’t like you, they’ll do everything in their power to get rid of you. I would avoid this place like the plague.
I was dismissed due to having mental health issues and I wasn’t able to handle difficult calls by angry customers I was released by the business for dropping calls when in fact I was not very well! What I’m getting at is if you have a mental health issue or you are dying in a hospital bed they want you to still get in touch everyday although you can’t! The place is a f**king joke and they really don’t care about you or other members of staff! I really wouldn’t recommend this place to work as you will be taken advantage of! I said in my interview before I was suspended that they can replace me but I can’t replace my grandad they just shrugged and wasn’t arsed!
I think Assurant need to review on how best to keep staff. There seems to be a lot of changes all happening a once and it frustrates staff's morale. It's not a pleasant place for personal development.
Great company and great management, depending on the deparment.
Good pay rate, increased after a couple of months. Hard work rewarded. great support
A business forever growing and with plenty of potential. The business doesn't stand still and opportunities can become available to those with essential skills. Great atmosphere with everyone you work with.
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!

Worked for Assurant for a few months before i grew tired of the place, management are clicky and if you face dont fit you may aswell not even bother, work colleagues were the only thing that really made a work day half enjoyable, customers spoke to you like trash constantly, and overall you just looked forward to getting home, would not work there again, unrealistic call targets especially with the scripts you had to read to the customers before they could even speak, it would make you sound robotic and management would then comment on how you sound to robotic despite reading off the scripts THEY PROVIDE, honestly this job just makes your life miserable, avoid
It's a great place to work. It can get busy, a d a little stressful, however management are great. Good advancement, if you are willing to give that little bit extra!
Only work here if you're in a higher up role, don't work on the phones. You're cattle to them. They treat you worse than cattle though, honestly the worst job I've ever had. They owe me holiday pay from 2014 but because I was young they just pretended they didn't owe it to me. Avoid.
spending time on and off the phone
good team members
friendly managers
hardest part is when customers leave the call unhappy
everyone works together.
One of the worsts places to work ever. Management were about as useful as a chocolate fire guard, dealing with horrible customers and not having the management help left you with no where to go.
Not worth the stress at all, especially with the shifts and working six days, and don't even think about moving up, unless you are friends with the management.
Good salary, great work experience and progression if you want it. The managers are awful and never want to take escalation which is their job... which just makes going back to the customer makes them more angry... and the managers definitely favouritism.
My time at Assurant was the most stressful occupation I have ever had. The management, when they are there, don't seem to understand that their employees are not just robots and have no appreciation for when one of their employees has to be called away for an emergency, my daughter was in hospital and they demanded me to work until end of my shift before going to see if she was okay. This was only one of the occasions of unappreciation that I personally felt there and many others who I spoke to also felt. I would never recommend you work here unless you enjoy masochism!
The managers dont care. The staff dont care and the customers talk to you like you're dirt on their shoe.
The place has left me bitter and hating the general public.
The best part of the job was home time.
The managers count the seconds you're away from the phone and you're just a number to the company.
They got peoples wages wrong and the managers dont have much respect for the employees
Understaffed and the pressure to perform and hit unrealistic targets is unbearable.
Logging insurance claims and speaking to people that for the most part dont understand what your talking and they expect the call to take no longer than 7 minutes when you have pages of scripts you have to read and explain before the customer even talks and if you dony follow word for word like a robot you fails called and risk losing the job.
They say there is room to progress but nobody ever does.
The benefits you cant have access too as nothing works and takes weeks to get sorted.
The privalige and incentives they have dont work as people that are eligible time and time again dont get it when the favourites get it multiple times
Also they make out the hours are good and you are on a salary working out at 40 hours a week but some weeks you do 4 days and other you do 6 which is a 51 hour week, and even then the only day you can have off that week is a Tuesday or something.
Avoid working at this place or you will be as bitter as me :)
Pros
Home time
Cons
Long hours, no respect
Having worked in this company for 5 years I can safely say I have never worked for such a clicky management team. If your face doesn't fit you may aswell walk away.
They don't care about staff, if on nights there is nobody around to help. Staff talk in Polish so unable to understand anything being said. Management team never say thankyou but expect more and more.
AVOID AND WORK ELSEWHERE YOU ARE ONLY A NUMBER HERE
Pros
Close to town
Cons
Rude management
Everyone got on well, free food, nice parking, management were ok, computers worked, customers were customers and training was reasonable. Probably a ok customer services operations.
Pros
Free parking, toilets and access to internet.
Cons
Internet did not allow access to gambling or pornographic sites at work on your break.
This is a great company to work for with lovely people to work with. Most roles are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, you have regular review meetings and management are approachable and helpful.
If you perform well the management team are very good at rewarding performance through recognition, awards, vouchers there has been many different There are many benefits from food days, beverage selections in kitchen, free fruit selections. The company also has multiple food days over year with Easter eggs, calendars, and other treats. You will never be able to please everyone but overall this is a great local company to work for with little travel for most and alright pay.
Pros
Many!
Cons
No bonuses
