If you have the right support you'll enjoy working at AML. It's never ending work, and you'll need to be fit to keep up. If your manager is poor, so will your prospects be.You won't be able to move, unless can demonstrate a good business case.

A great place to work, I'd highly recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Aston Martin. Ther's a strong culture of team work and it's a place that really focuses on delivering for the customer.Working conditions are good both in the offices and on the production line. Senior Management Team is dedicated to delivering outstanding product quality. Being a small automotive player you'll have the opportunity to get involved in all sorts of projects, sometimes outside of your core role which keeps the job intersting.

Wonderful place

Lazy managment constantly discriminate everyday couldnt made difference between life and work.The job was easy.

well basically whats people are work on the shopfloor thats was friendly and nice just the "lazy managment team" couldnt appreciate nobody they couldnt treat people like people.The job was easy the work times was nice.People got a lot of spare time.The salary with agency thats wasnt enough.Worked more than 3years in the company and the managment could gave me contract because "i was too busy in outside"they couldnt tell any bad things about my work i finish with everything under the tactime.

No Good HR policies

HR dont have any control over people management activities. No checking of the employee in terms of his or her career development. No policy for internal job change if some person is doing one job for many year. He or she has to find own way to look for internal job change which is obviously political in nature.

Very productive. No fun

Constantly pushing for more work to be done. Right first time. Don't expect to be thanked. The work force are great, never had a falling out with anyone other than the management.

Fast paced & stressful work, but great people

Aston Martin is a long standing company which still behaves in many ways like a start up, everyone has more work than it is possible to complete in the targeted time, but due to everyone being in the same boat, it leaves a level of comraderie. The work itself is fulfill and exciting, and the accessibility to talk to senior management has improved dramatically over the last 2 years.Unfortunately, Astons internal HR policies do mean that salary growth is limited for those that stay for years of internal progression.The benefits are relatively good, 12% company contribution for salary after 2 years, mercedes scheme from grade 8, and managers get PSA management vehicles, health shield plan gives cash back on dental and opticians, health insurance & death in service package too.

Total chaos and staff turnover embarrasing

Dont bother avoid the place DHL are the main problems select few get jobs back stabbing others to management gets you considered the worst experience ive ever had at a work place imature kids in charge clueless no management experience and agency staff are far better than the DHL dim wits the place needs a total revamp from top to bottom get rid of the wasters back stabbers and bring in experience.

I enjoyed working with the people on the shop floor.

It was a great experience working for Aston Martin. But the management in st Athens struggled to listen to any advice or suggestions to improve productivity.

Skills mean nothing

Spent a total of 10 years here over 2 occasions was made unfairly redundant twice. Management tend to prefer unskilled women. Second time took me 3 years as temp then given a contract 90% pay for the first year and instead of making it 100% pay my contact was ended and my original final salary pension changed leaving many temporary workers still there.

Great pay regret leaving for another job

Great pay though the week rotating shifts of mornings afternoons and evenings can take it out of you. Been toying with calling to see if any work going now after covid. Would like to go back.

Really not a great place to work.

Non stop relentless work on the production line. No thanks or praise for anything you do. There’s no sense of support from the company at all. Very much an US and THEM mentality. Very few people are happy working here.

They pressure you to work overtime, only to increase the target the following week. No thanks and no morale in the place, they work you to the bone and are dripping with sweat every day.

Could be great

Could be a great place to work . The management from group leaders upwards needs to change the way they work . They lie to each other and cover up problems in order to hit targets making the higher management think that everything is great when in reality the place is a disaster. Too many ‘yes’ men in management too scared of the manager above . The lads and ladies on the shop floor are great though . Too much uncertainty in jobs over the last 18 months with new owners . New owners are trying too many changes at the same time and are being lied to about these changes working . Another 50 or so job roles being made redundant in July .

Good pay and that’s it

Treated like a school child by everyone from group leaders up, no experienced people in any kind of management role especially group leaders, experience counts for nothing at all. Only good thing about working here (st athan) is the pay and honestly that is it. Stay clear if it’s not all about the money for you!!

Stressful Environment

You start feeling so happy to be working for this famous automotive company, you are just a resource to get the job done they will fire you and get another at the drop of a hat, you end up being just a number.

Beautiful cars. Good salary. Nice team.

I am in love with the cars. The sound of the engine is the best music for my ears. I am enjoying every moment working in this plant. The money are good and the team is great.

Old fashioned business

This business is stuck in the old days. Systems and processes outdated. Management styles are outdated, and quite frankly very poor. There are a few managers who felt like leaders and put in the effort to look after you, the others are very lazy and unproductive in the way that they treat people and play blame games. The business has very good benefits compared to others, however, they act as if this is all they need to do for ‘employee satisfaction’. The work is challenging, in a good way, each day would be different. On the other hand, it was challenging because there was no collaboration between departments and it was very much ‘look after yourself’ culture. To conclude, if it doesn’t matter to you that work is enjoyable, fun and fulfilling, then you’ll do just fine and with a higher salary than most places. However, times are changing and this business isn’t adapting to the fact that people are now searching for a higher meaning at their work.
