Fabulous work colleagues but very stressful.
Astrea predominantly deal with disadvantaged areas of the community. The children's behaviour can be extremely challenging but very rewarding. Long working hours and expectations are high.

Supportive and collaborative team
Currently working in the central finance team for Astrea is rewarding and enjoyable. The team get on well together and work hard to support our schools and ultimately the children and young people.Other central teams and our schools are helpful, they don't get everything right but are usually willing to adapt as necessary. The culture is good, although there is a lot to do, it's nice to have a challenge that improves things and saves money.

Complete unorganised mess
Worked here for a while and nobody knows what they are doing..Exec board think they are above talking to the little minions who are not heads of a department..Finance team are useless and just backstab each other..Everyone is on different wages regardless of if they do the same job role.
Executive Assistant to CEO in Shefield and London

Worst Job I have ever had
The Senior team are only interested in themselves, they expect you to give your whole life to them and be on call to them 24 hours 7 days a week. They expect you to travel all across the country, you never get any time back when you have worked a 14 hour day. The holidays are a joke you can only take term time but if there is four of you in a team you can't all be off at the same time. No work life balance, no sympathy for any illness or family issues, do not work there. They get rid of you via an email and can't even be bothered to speak to you face to face.
