I wouldn't recommend to the people who are not ready for high stress level
Delivery/Collection Driver long distance&multi drop skills (Former Employee) - Northampton - 18 July 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI am deeply disappointed with my experience at ATA Couriers . It is evident that they do not care about their employees, and this lack of concern permeates every aspect of their operations. From the very beginning, I noticed a concerning disregard for the well-being and professional growth of their staff. One of the most distressing aspects of working with this company is their neglect of work-life balance. Long hours and unreasonable demands are the norm here, leaving employees physically and mentally exhausted. Despite promises of a supportive and inclusive work environment during the hiring process, I found myself constantly overwhelmed and unsupported. I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros
No benefits
Cons
Long hours

Hard work but great pay.
Delivery Associate (Current Employee) - Redruth, Cornwall - 20 July 2021
I've been a ATAC for around a year now and have mostly enjoyed it. There are good days and bad days, just like in any job. Most of the time, the routes are realistic, but they are set by Amazon, so ATAC can hardy be blamed if they're busy. The routes are 8/9 hours and most drivers are done in 6/7. I don't usually take/get a break, but that's because I'd rather just get finished.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
The days are tiring, depot staff like to treat you like kids and enjoy shouting and rolling their eyes at you.

Rubbish avoid avoid avoid
Driver (Former Employee) - Bromley-by-Bow, Greater London - 17 November 2020
I worked at this useless company for 3 months, they will under pay you and not tell you what deductions they make, first paycheck expected to be 1700 but only received £75, all office staff of Romanian decent and will speak in their own language so you can not understand what they are speaking about. I was in Bromley by bow and they will pick and choose who they give work to and how much they pay them. Avoid this company for your own families sanity for their SANITY. Believe take it from an ex driver this company is rubbish. They also send you tickets from other vans and make you believe its yours when it belongs to one of their friends. ABSOLOUTE JOKE!

very dishonest, disorganized workplace where drivers labour for almost no pay
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Enfield, Greater London - 9 October 2020
Very disorganized and dishonest supervisory and managerial staff. Workload is ridiculously demanding especially for beginners. Very dishonest management, promising full week of work, but one ends up working just part time some weeks. Daily pay rate and weekly van rental payments seem like a scam or exploitation and not really worth your efforts. This job in a nutshell can also be deemed as slavery or laboring in vein.
Cons
No breaks

Fantastic company to work for
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Norwich - 16 September 2020
I've been working with ATA for over a year now and I can honestly say that they are the best delivery company by far to work for. I worked for a few others in the past and none of them come anywhere close. ATA pays the most, they pay you after just 1 week, not like some other companies where you have to wait 4 weeks. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are part of one big family. Very good Management, flexible shifts, I can't fault them at all. The work is challenging sometimes because we have a lot of parcels but it's the same whoever you work for, it's Amazon so of course they will be busy. Once you learn your area and how to use the app properly it becomes much easier. I referred one of my friends to join and they even gave me a referral bonus! I will be staying with them for the foreseeable future and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to become a driver.
Pros
Pay after just 1 week, great atmosphere, very supportive
Cons
Some long days at the beginning but you get faster with practice

Good company to work for
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 28 August 2020
GReat company to work for! Really looking after their staff they make sure you doing great helping with coaching training. Job isn’t bad at all the try give you few weeks training so you get used to the app, driving and delivering in general. After you do the 9 hours rout which isn’t taking 12 hours at all unless you volunteer to help your colleague out but it’s also optional. Very like this company how they operate. Great working opportunities
Pros
Money
Cons
Working hours sometimes

Bad company who’s priorities are wrong
Driver (Former Employee) - Croydon, Greater London - 7 June 2020
Absolute shocking company to work for. If u make a complaint against a supervisor at ur depot expect backlash. And expect to be treated like s**t
Rules are made up as they go along and no matter what u do ur always in the wrong.
Basically if ur face fits it fits and if it doesn’t then expect to be treated like a dogsbody whilst the supervisor just sits back smoking all day

Delivery driver
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Swindon - 12 March 2020
It's 8-9 hours routes. A lot of parcels, a lot of stops. The good pont it's that you work alone all day, nobody push you to be faster, you can stop in any time to eat, drink or smoke a cigarette. The bad point it's that the weather outside it's different every single day.. and if it's rainy you will be wet when you delivering.. And have a lot of heavy boxes.. To be honest it's not a job for women..

Great Company
I started working with ATA in October. They offer me great support, no issues with the van rental and Christmas was a great time to make extra money. Will continue working with them as working days are flexible and the pay is good.

Same as all the rest, use you for their own gains
Delivery courier (Current Employee) - Worcester, Worcestershire - 3 December 2019
I've worked for a few agencies doing this role, the reason I came to these was because they seemed better & caring on the surface, which they are, they are polite on the phone & very attentive if you have a question, but that's it. I've still not had any contracts sent me such as my van hire agreement, or the several agreements they got me to sign very quickly so I didn't have time to read them.
The role itself is very demanding especially now it's coming up to Christmas, I work 12 hours a day & I'm lucky if I can get 10 minutes break, the managers know this but don't care, all they are after is targets as they get paid by delivered parcels for bonuses on their percentages.
The money isn't that great after you deduct £200 a week for swb van, tax & fuel (some fuel is paid but it don't cover it completely)
It's pretty much minimum wage for a lot of hard work
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ROLE OR AGENCY

Hi I started working for this company they said I had to get a van from didcot. Its about 100 miles away from the branch they send every one who starts to the same hire company . I could not fit into the van to drive it and they never had any vans to fit me so.
I am £60 pound out off pocket as they dont want to give me my money back for travelling everytime I email I dont get a response and as they have not got a telephone number to ring headquarters.i ask the shift mangers for the telephone number they say use the email and I thought it was going to be a good job.

Delivery Driver ATA Hamel Hampstead
Driver delivery (Former Employee) - Hemel Hempstead - 24 August 2019
Promises and so, nothing more, no law is used and makes you guilty of everything, when you load from the warehouse in that territory nothing is scanned and everything is checked in the car, the packages are on your name even those empty ones and those demagos, when you go back he writes or calls you quickly and tells you that it is your job that you leap up or steal and this happens during the time when it is not busy and no workers are needed anymore. , that means you are a thief and nothing serious, the managers are like two peas that the chickens carry in their beak, and the strongest that even at 60 pounds a day you do not come out when you deduct all the expenses, you wake up at 06:00 I have you back home at 20:00 or 23:00 pm, this is the company ATA LTD
to be clearer and understandable, I stuck in the bottle with sheep and sheep,
car when I went back to my company someone touched the car and had a scratch and they say that the window I broke when it was so they didn't show me any pictures as it was before and that from the beginning it was confirmed but when to return the deposit then everything is found and you are guilty
Pros
HAHAHA . of corse NO
Cons

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - West Drayton, Greater London - 15 June 2019
Please don’t ever join this company, they are showing £130 per day
£150 per day
Before joining
after you join they have four shifts £90 and £65 and another thing if you have rented van £40 per day van and ur salary is £65 and you work for £25, they are thieves
To much pressure on work first day,
they want you to work like that you know everything they will compare you with experience person,
I work for them one month in one month they pay me £18.23p and I spend diesel from my pocket nearly £200, and they pay 18.23p for one month, just imagine how I survive with my family
And please don’t hire the van from them Even don’t work for them,

Then ,,,,you hire van..get 3 days work a week if you're lucky.... After pay for van hire you are literally left with nothing.
Seriously this is the most frustrating job ever
Don't be fooled by what they say payed £125 per day ?,
But be prepared for very hard work with a manager on you're back every hour sending messages.

ATA Couriers is great, there is a lot of time spent making sure peoples day to day experience is the best. We are like a big family , everyone is very friendly and always make time to help you when you are in need. There are great training and development opportunities and you get a sense that it is a company that is growing day by day. I’m proud being part of this company.
There always will be somebody who don't like ATA for multiple reasons some of them are not made for this job, some of them don't care that we must improve and grow and some of them just want to hurt. Intelligence and team work is the key in this company.
Do not hesitate to contact us and to try to make part of a young and great team which is always growing.

Top courier contractor
Driver (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 10 May 2019
Been in the business for 3 years now, time that i changed 3 companies. Out of all, ATA couriers is the best as the daily salary is really competitive and loads of extras are being offered to the drivers.
Another good thing is that wages are being paid a week after so no deposit is being held unlike other companies that i worked before with that hold even 5 weeks deposit. The job itself is not easy and you need to adapt to many situations like bad weather and road closures but at the end of the day you get the satisfaction that you completed your job and money are in your pocket.
Pros
Really good pay
Cons
Bad weather and road closures.
