I work on nightshift as breakfast shift for 5 years .when we got tupe to alatian servest instead of getting better, my work load got even more.I was having start doing some of work work before I started as the shift before usually left stuff not refilled eg vending machine,sugar and milk jug.When I told manger it was never dealt with and I was made to feel I was cause problem by letting them know.working on your own and having to prep breakfast for day shift and for your own shift.cook the breakfast for tesco staff and serve and do till.Also make 60 sandwiches for next day for vending machine.And doing your dish and clean up.And I worked 6 night a week for 30 hrs which wasn't good as you were under pressure and very stressed.So had leave and get new job for my own mental health.The company never even said goodbye after working there for 9 years and without having any absence.

5hour shifts but over 6 nights and hard to get cover if want time off.

Good place to work for Fast development

I started as agency and was taken on straight to supervisor due to my past experience and have learnt and gain many qualifications including two level 3 qualifications and many other recognised courses like IOSHH and BICS. Work can be stressful and demanding but if you don't mind putting in a bit extra effort for no extra pay but with long term benefits such as promotion and pay raises. You will be fine, most people complaints relating to pay for two reasons first managers inputting incorrect T&A data and that holiday are paid of a 52 week AVG unlike the normally when you paid just the hourly amount. Overall it could be better but also could be worst. It's what you make of it...

Questionable management. Not a clue how to run a security site. Can’t get cover if anyone is ill. And if they do find cover, they can barely do the job correctly. They should stick to facility services and give up on security all together. There management will be there downfall and loose them contracts.Oh and good luck getting paid for extra hours

Sweeping ,mopping ,dusting ,using floor machine ,litterpicking ,cleaning toilets, offices etc.to much to do in a short space of time.not enough staff. Pay is always right and on time. Expected to do our job without the right equipment /supplies of chemicals etc. Enjoyable but physically demanding work

Application process a complete nightmare.

The most enjoyable part of the job was night shifts. Patrolling the site and the buildings every so often and keeping an out for intruders. Same as days except there is no staff around and the gates were locked.Hardest part of the job was some of the people we worked with. Made the job harder than it needed to be.

Great company to work for. The met contract is the best contract I have worked on. A contract is so diverse it has jobs for allEngineering skill set and experience.

Relaxed Atmosphere

Set hours with a small chance to work more. Work-life balance is great as the shifts are 2 hours each day so you have the rest of the day to make plans. The job itself is straight forward cleaning, which obviously isn't stupidly easy but it's not stressful at least. No fear of micromanagement as you only work with other cleaners and get visited every now and then by the manager.
