(Atalian servest are now trading as OCS)Most of the management team are based in the cental belt and are good to work with. However, if you plan to work in the Highlands area on any government contract be warned that there is a "FM Engineering supervisor" that will micromanage your day, go behind your back and rearrange your orders from the wholesalers and always have a better way of doing your job despite having no qualifications in the construction industry other than being a handyman for the company for a number of years. The management team are aware of him and what he does but it seems to be less hassle for them to turn a blind eye. There have been at least 5 employees resign over the last 5 years because of this person.

Not very nice place or team to work for

The area managers are both more centred around there own region so no support the staffing is always hit and miss and cnt be trusted always issues reguarding pay holidays etc uniforms waste company ever and it goes through such A high turn over of are managers 8 in 5 months days it all stay well clear

The atmosphere was stressful and poisonous. The engineer was not trusted by the company. Staff at the help desk lacked qualifications.

What is the best part of working at the company?They are a good company to work for and the money per hour was reasonable. I was working at Morrisons housekeeping. You don't get time to get bored.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?When alot off members of staff are calling you to clean 2 or 3 job's at the same time or if all high manager's from different stores and head office visit.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?The atmosphere is bad alot of staff look fed up. The management don't mix with the worker's.What is a typical day like for you at the company?I worked on my own making sure the shop floor, toilets, entrance bins, trolley bay's, carpark and petrol station was kept clean. Also each day had other departments to clean.

Certain sites get Christmas bonuses and others dont

I believe everyone at Atalian Servest should be paid the same unless they are in high roles etc. when it comes to Christmas if the company gives some sites Christmas bonuses then they should give all sites this.

Happy place to work

Same as any job. Its more the about people you work with that make the Job. Had some bad wood that made the place horrible and a nightmare to work. But, as soon as they had gone was a great place to work. Some day to day stresses but noting to over the top and great support from management to help with any issues that arrive. Regular overtime but not forced into working and always made to feel apricated when you do.

I would suggest no one apply for any job to do with servest or ocs they don't care about your well being and don't treat there workers right the area manager will cut it your hours without any notice and chance your hours and if you don't like that then they will just tell you that you know where the door is

Good place to work for Fast development

I started as agency and was taken on straight to supervisor due to my past experience and have learnt and gain many qualifications including two level 3 qualifications and many other recognised courses like IOSHH and BICS. Work can be stressful and demanding but if you don't mind putting in a bit extra effort for no extra pay but with long term benefits such as promotion and pay raises. You will be fine, most people complaints relating to pay for two reasons first managers inputting incorrect T&A data and that holiday are paid of a 52 week AVG unlike the normally when you paid just the hourly amount. Overall it could be better but also could be worst. It's what you make of it...

Questionable management. Not a clue how to run a security site. Can’t get cover if anyone is ill. And if they do find cover, they can barely do the job correctly. They should stick to facility services and give up on security all together. There management will be there downfall and loose them contracts.Oh and good luck getting paid for extra hours
