I have worked for Auto Trader UK for 4 years and have enjoyed every day. It is really a unique company and it is all down to the people and the culture that they have created. It can sometimes appear that the culture is something that "just happens" but this business has a clear strategy around it and continues to evolve it as it grows. I am lucky to work on exciting projects with some brilliant people that have a "can-do" attitude and really care about our customers, each other, our communities and our industries. I love strong debates and I feel that I am in an environment where it is ok to speak up especially when you have a different opinion. Thinking in a different way is a great way to create innovative products and services after all. You need to have a strong work ethic and be determined to succeed if you work here. It is not about working long hours, sometimes you might need to but it is not the norm. It is about concentrating on the right things and putting your energies to deliver the key priorities.

Fantastic place to work for shame I was made redundant

Managed and developed teams. Controlled all targets set. Both in field and telesales. Monitoring all targets set , holidays, sickness for all staff. Training given on a one to one basis in each areas. Conducted regular one to ones with staff to develop performance and offer more training if needed. Always hit performances targets set.

Lively Customer Services driven whilst being innovative at always looking to improve.

General daily activities include managing team morale, keeping them motivated during high demanding periods of time. Organise any additional training or special needs with product information. Reporting stats managing the work queue and keeping the work level within the agreed SLA's. The hardest part of the job is having to rely upon other internal departments whose SLA's do not coincide with yours which means sometimes deadlines have been lost through no fault of our own. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the camaraderie with the individuals within the team. Each one of them will go that extra mile in an effort to deliver results. Team spirit is in abundance and they work together to clear the work queues on a daily basis.
