Never worked for such a great company, a family run business with a family feel to colleague relations and customer experiences. A place to work when challenges are what colleagues are looking for to get maximum satisfaction.

Pros

Cons

Poor job security, management not the best

Bad cop good cop with management, big bosses are so caring but a select few are just so unsupportive and horrible. Constantly being watched & monitored, staff get sacked constantly so staff turnaround is ridiculous. Everyone is anxious of who could be sacked next, no job security AT ALL. Good pay however and a few are nice in the company. No matter how good you do your job, you’ll still never feel good enough. You’ll have no social life here either, forget trying to see family or friends.

Pros

Good Pay

Cons

Bad management, no job security, antisocial

Place is a joke

Company advertises salaries that are inflated to get the ‘best’ people through the door then doesn’t tell them the salary is reduced, approximately £1800. Pay for uniform between £13-£16 per month for 6 months. Place is unorganised and take you off task to do things out of job remit.

Pros

None

Cons

Pay for uniform Salary inflation when it advertised

Cowboys

Management don’t care about anything but themselves. Commonly it’s a case of do as I say not as I do. In my time at the company (5years) I did everything to the best of my ability but unfortunately this just wasn’t enough. You rarely get praise and rewards for your hard work. As a driver I was often late back, only to find that the management and everyone had gone home and locked everywhere up. What happens if I needed assistance? I was often forced into missing or delaying breaks with no one caring about how I felt. As a driver you get to know the roads and when certain places are going to be busy but unfortunately the people that sat behind a desk and looked at stuff on the computer always knew best. You were timed when you left site, they never took into account traffic, accidents, queues at places, weather, or the time of day. If the computer said it should take you 20 mins to get to your destination then it should be 20 mins to get there, they never listened to the people with experience. A lot of my work included driving to scrap yards to collect engines, gearbox’s, crash bars, wiper motors, hand break levers, new doors and many more. All to save money but yet the big bosses always managed to drive around in a brand new car and got it renewed regularly. If you didn’t wear a shirt and tie you were nothing to them, just a cog in a machine.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

How long have you got?

Smart repair Technician

I had been working for the company for a Year as Smart Repair Tech. My manager was great very helpful and there for the team. But the rest of the company is no good The work system is not so good, working stupid shifts like robots. Unrealistic workforce.

Pros

Money was ok.

Cons

The work system

Team is all

The job was fast paced and demanding, but the rewards were there if you worked. The people I worked with were wonderful, forged in the close team bonds of the work we did.

All in all not great

Awful management, you work every weekend on sales, the money isn’t great but it’s not awful however be prepared to live you life there with no extra pay for the consistent overtime needed

Poor management, good team members

Poor management, 1 in 1 out all day every day, constantly being watched, no loyalty to staff, standard pay when worked out hourly rate, constantly checked on, backward methods which take more time making you less efficient which then you get moaned at for being less efficient, bank holidays you have to book off, Christmas you get Christmas day boxing day and new years day off good training available, good team members make it a nice place.

Day to day

The hardest part of the job is the long days working until 9-9:30 at night also the days can drag when quite Pay in sales heavy depends on the team you work with

A typical day

Available car is a easy place to get a job as long as your keen and self motivated A typical work day involves sorting out and getting sold cars ready for customers and then getting cars prepared for the sales site

Fast paced, but good advancements

Not a bad company to work for if you’re after a alright salary and job security, however the hours are long and it’s hard to get holidays when you want them

Quantity OVER Quality

6 day work week, head office lives in fantasy land. Pressure valeters to do rush job then have the nerve to complain. They sell Diamond Brite for hundreds of £'s but valeters arent allowed time to properly apply so customers are wasting hundreds as its not been properly done in 1st place.

Pros

Money is ok

Cons

Unrealistic targets 6 day no life after work

Prison but you get to go home afterwards

Typical day: Arrive 1 minute late... 15 minutes knocked off pay. Targets and deadlines are too high. They want quantity and quality. Clock out 1 minute early? Another 15 minutes knocked off pay. What I learned? No matter how hard you try, they will always want more and they will drain you as much as they can. Management is poor. Wrong people in management/Team leader positions. The hardest part of the job is the targets that are unrealistic. Most enjoyable part of the job is socialising with co-workers whenever you can. Poor attitude towards supplying equipment. Hours: 8:30 - 5:30 Monday to Saturday (Saturday finish at 12:30) THEN 8:00 - 6:00 Monday to Thursday (Fridays 8:30 - 5:30) Say goodbye to bank holidays/christmas.

Pros

Extra holidays since you are expected to work bank holidays

Cons

Poor treatment to staff members by supervisor/management roles.
