Care Assistant in Stratford-upon-Avon
on 14 February 2021
Nope! Try to avoid if possible.
In my time working here I felt it was very unorganised and understaffed. A good few carers were impatient with residents and would be quite rough and upset residents. Some carers would be very rude to you and on a couple of occasions it would upset me so much that I’d cry. I would hear a lot of carers complaining about others and about management. Carers would have to rush to get things done, especially lunch and dinner. There were often only two carers to a whole floor of residents and on a number of occasions I would be alone on a floor for quite some time. On a couple of occasions a certain few carers would be rough with residents if they weren’t cooperating with the carer. I didn’t agree with the way that they would be treated in that moment. I have definitely personally been put off working in a care setting by my experiences here. I also don’t believe you get paid enough for what you do here etc. All in all my experience working here wasn’t nice and it very much upset me.

Avery’s all about profit no care for residents or staff
This is the worse company in the care industry. Poor management . Food cheap quality I mean it’s supposed to be fine dining. How is beans on toast for a meal fine dining. Management have no respect for staff. Very high staff turn over. This could be a wonderful place just need a whole new team . Shifts are 13 hours and we don’t always get break. Avoid this place. On positive note lovely residents . And brilliant training on going.

Bad management
Manager was horrible and didn’t stick to covid rules they never gave the hours you asked for and sometimes you were left to look after 17 residents on your own with help from other staff (cleaner or kitchen staff) who were not trained to do the job. Residents were lovely and certain staff members helped you out but it was also very clicky and not great for new starters

Is it possible to give no stars
Worked here in 2016. would not recommend. Managers are noting but bullies and senior staff are no better. Everyday i would see carers in tears due to how they were treated. Management were only intrested in money. couldnt care less about staff or residents. if i could leave no stars then that would be prefect. This company need shutting down in my opinion

Great place to work
Lovely residents. Management are always on hand if there’s any problems. Night shift is a lot more relaxed than days! Senior care assistant do have more responsibility than care assistants.
