In my time working here I felt it was very unorganised and understaffed. A good few carers were impatient with residents and would be quite rough and upset residents. Some carers would be very rude to you and on a couple of occasions it would upset me so much that I’d cry. I would hear a lot of carers complaining about others and about management. Carers would have to rush to get things done, especially lunch and dinner. There were often only two carers to a whole floor of residents and on a number of occasions I would be alone on a floor for quite some time. On a couple of occasions a certain few carers would be rough with residents if they weren’t cooperating with the carer. I didn’t agree with the way that they would be treated in that moment. I have definitely personally been put off working in a care setting by my experiences here. I also don’t believe you get paid enough for what you do here etc. All in all my experience working here wasn’t nice and it very much upset me.
Pros
Absolutely lovely residents
Cons
Some very rude carers, understaffed, unorganised

This is the worse company in the care industry. Poor management . Food cheap quality I mean it’s supposed to be fine dining. How is beans on toast for a meal fine dining. Management have no respect for staff. Very high staff turn over. This could be a wonderful place just need a whole new team . Shifts are 13 hours and we don’t always get break. Avoid this place. On positive note lovely residents . And brilliant training on going.
Pros
Free uniform
Cons
Long hours. Bad management . Short staff

Manager was horrible and didn’t stick to covid rules they never gave the hours you asked for and sometimes you were left to look after 17 residents on your own with help from other staff (cleaner or kitchen staff) who were not trained to do the job. Residents were lovely and certain staff members helped you out but it was also very clicky and not great for new starters
Pros
Nice residents
Cons
Horrible manager

Worked here in 2016. would not recommend. Managers are noting but bullies and senior staff are no better. Everyday i would see carers in tears due to how they were treated. Management were only intrested in money. couldnt care less about staff or residents. if i could leave no stars then that would be prefect. This company need shutting down in my opinion

Lovely residents. Management are always on hand if there’s any problems. Night shift is a lot more relaxed than days! Senior care assistant do have more responsibility than care assistants.
Pros
Hourly cigarette breaks. Two hours break. Unlimited coffee.
Cons
Bossy nurses!

Good progression options if you are willing to climb up the managers butt to get there or have intimate relationships with other staff. If not you will be promoted regardless cos of staff turnover

(Worked on Housekeeping at Scholars Mews, Stratford for about a year, half of that time being during the Covid pandemic.)One of the nicest places I have worked, very happy there and would've stayed for many years to come if my situation hadn't changed. Great atmosphere, good team dynamics between departments and a very supportive management team - they recognise and reward hard work and commitment.Other staff all brilliant; care team, maintenance, kitchen, reception - everyone worked together to give our residents the best care possible.Very well kept and maintained environment, really does look like a 5 star hotel! I was always proud to be part of that team.
Pros
Great atmosphere, good fun and supportive team and management

I constantly had issues, being accused of things I haven't done. They made it obvious the didn't want me there even though I always completed my tasks and got on with my responsibilities. I was always told my work wasn't up to standard but they always turned to me first to complete certain tasks and the more difficult problems. I was generally treated unfairly. They never made things fair by sharing the tasks, it was generally left to me. The management are unprofessional and the home manager always takes their bad mood out on other staff. Even tough I am great full for the opportunity they gave me I am deeply upset by my experience there.

Disgusting pay considering the work. Management wont care if you get COVID19 & die as long as no management or residents do. One rule for certain staff members another for the rest. Rude condescending, & literate manager. Never met someone as incompetent. States competitive rates of pay???? minimum wage isn't competitive its a discrace. Avoid this company like the plague as they avoid duties to look after employees.
Pros

Cons
Fellow staff, Pay, management, environment, It's like a schoolyard mixed with a zoo. Everyone talking behind each others backs.

I have had the pleasure of working at cliftonville care home for the past 6 months and can honestly say I have never worked for a better care company. The management and all other staff from admin, activities ladies, cooks, housekeeping and carers are all friendly and helpful and would go out of their way to help each other. The residents are looked after with the upmost respect and dignity and I would highly recommend cliftonville as a place of employment.
Pros
Amazing staff and residents
Cons
Having to leave due to relocation ☹

I worked nights at Cliftonville care home everything was going well until I met the Nurse in charge at night she thinks she owns the place. I loved all the residents and feel sorry for my other co-workers working short staffed all the time. The management are doing all they can to find staff and will listen to your problems. The residents are well looked after and seem really happy
Pros
The Residents
Cons
The Nurse in charge at night

I was employed on a bank basis by this company as a result of their covid 19 recruitment advertisement which promised a lot and delivered very little other than a minimum wage. I lasted 3 months until I resigned I came with a wealth of previous experience in clinical care and in a customer facing role in aviation. Some of this was in a supervisory/management capacity. The interview process was a joke. Even the DBS I provided was never verified by managers in their haste to put people on the rota In the 3 months I worked I saw this company then loose a general manager, two head chefs, another senior chef and two servers at my work location. Enough said on retention of staff. There is nothing like a pandemic to expose company shortfalls either generally or specifically due to the current situation. A typical day for me consisted for me in turning up/not turning up at the time last seen on my rota. This rota was published two weeks in advance by the now restaurant manager. It was then changed at his whim without asking of even telling staff. Enough said on work/life balance. Assuming I came in at the right time I then had to go to a room the size of a store cupboard to get my PPE. There were no windows and no ventilation. It was impossible to social distance from other staff if I chose to don this PPE which I did. The majority of other serving staff chose not to yet they were in direct contact with some residents - all of whom are in the most vulnerable group according to age. There was absolutely no training on the necessity of PPE, why we use it and how - more...
Pros
Lovely residents, luxurious surroundings to work in, free food whilst on duty
Cons
Unpredictable rota, inept and precious managers who hate being questioned, abysmal communication

Here Management is okay but the majority of health carers I came across were not interested in the ‘care’ they provided but more what was on their wage slip each month. Care is so much more than that
Cons
Carers

not only are staff under appreciated and underpaid but management have no organisation and that contributes to the stress of an already stressful job.

If your face doesn't fit then you won't . Management is terrible, care staff and other departments are brilliant and work very hard unlike management- they use staff to help themselves out . You never get thanked for going the extra mile . Minimum wage and no other real benefits. Management doesn't like staff being friends and try to control EVERYTHING. Covid 19 has Shown what they are realy like
Pros
Most staff are friendly
Cons
Minimum wage, unfriendly management, NO Benefits
