Decent workplace

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Decent place to work, relaxed working environment. Got this job via JLD recruitment and did a maternity cover. Fairly repetitive work involving data entry etc, but overall a decent vibe in the office. Would recommend.

Hard work, but yet a good entry level AV role.

They will push you hard, and the hours are often long. You will learn and progress with the right mindset, but moral would often be low amongst team members due to high pressure to deliver.

long days, but enjoyable

Aztec are a good company to work for, but the days can be very long and in the busy season you can end up working two weeks straight before getting a day off.

Events are not for the faint hearted

Aztec is a great employer. They have some amazing supportive managers and members of staff. But the AV Industry is not for the faint hearted. It does require long hours. expect 6/7am build days, expect to be loading a truck at 10pm. Don't be surprised by the NEC is just round the corner when you live in the South East.Working in both their Field and Office Environments both expereinces where different. In the field you are exspect to work a job title above your role. If you know your Display from your speaker and have people skills then you will go far. This is a very client facing role and there are days when miracle worker will be a closer job title and others when it will be very smooth and everything goes to plan. You will be supported by the operations team who will make sure they get you A to B and that the logistics of the jobs goes well. The kit used is fairly modern and they invest in new technologies.Office based roles you will be working in a spacious office with a very close team. The directorship is based in the same location and they will invest in you if you if you go the extra mile and prove you want to make a career in the role. The key thing to remember this is the Event industry. The industry is one of the most diverse in the Uk, so as long as you "Work Hard, Work Together and Create something Amazing" You will enjoy your time at Aztec.

Pros

A Supportive Team

Cons

Long Hours, Lots of Driving, Too much of ExCel

Nice to learn a bit more

Unfortunately, in Aztec the management doesn't care of the truth if a client complaints with fake excuses. Otherwise is a nice place to work, even if competition within the team can cause stress and break collaborative works...

Great Job

Job was great had good training from the Finance Assistant and great help from the Credit Controller. Did Purchase Ledger invoicing, Credit Card reconciliation's, Filing, Scanning, and normal administration duties. Helped streamline the business also helping set up new on-line credit card expenses. Now the company have made me redundant as there is now no longer enough work for me.
