Good company but slight lack of support

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It’s a good company with great benefits, however it’s lack of support and care for people’s achievements isn’t appreciated enough to what people deserve. They should be more rewards for the work that gets done.

Awful place to work. Would not recommend terrible management.

Would not recommend. This place is awful. So incredibly toxic . Management are absolutely awful and actual bullies. They only like you if your face fits and if you don't speak up for yourself.. micromanaging is part of the company culture.

Supportive employer

Have always had support from colleagues and managers to succeed in my role - a company who strives to do the best for you, if you give them the effort back in return. Great benefits and bonus scheme

Great Place to Work

I started my role at Baltic 4 months ago and have received incredible training and support. They have a clear growth structure and plenty of opportunities for progression. I look forward to my future in Baltic.

Great work environment and an incredible place to work!

I thoroughly enjoy my job at Baltic, mainly because the role itself is really rewarding and the people I work with are brilliant!Family feel vibe all round. They're incredibly rewarding with pay rises, promotions and bonuses which is great as we're continuously recognized for our hard work.

Productive and rewarding

Being a New Business Consultant is not an easy job, however, the team work culture and the purpose of the job is very rewarding. If you are looking for a high intensity, purpose driven job, with great reward, then Baltic is the place for you.Not for the faint hearted !

A career in making a difference.

Prior to joining Baltic Apprenticeships, I'd never really 'found my place'. Having left University, finding the 'right' job role didn't come naturally, and as a result, I spent a long amount of time in a wide range of industries. We've all been there - working for employers that train you to fulfil a function, and see limited benefit in pushing you to think outside of that role. All of that changed when I joined Baltic.Having joined the business as a learning mentor, I was very quickly offered first-rate training and qualifications in my chosen industry. My skills in delivering content were improved through industry recognised qualifications related to Education and Training, and I quickly found my feet on an internally delivered apprenticeship scheme to develop these skills further. One of the best parts of my job, was the fulfilment in seeing apprentices nation-wide take their first steps in an industry that genuinely excited them!Having strengthened my understanding of, and building a keen interest in data and how performance can be measured, I have recently been supported in transitioning to a role that meets, and allows me to explore these interests. In my experience, Baltic have always put my interests first, and live up to their values as a training provider in ensuring that I am regularly offered opportunities to learn and grow. My manager advocates for the sharing of my ideas, and my input always feels valued. To summarise, if you want to work for an employer that will actively attempt to develop your skills, takes pride in their culture and the impact their -

A brilliant, fun and ambitious place to work

Having worked at Baltic for 4 years I've seen how much the company has grown and changed alone in that time and it's fair to say it's been a fantastic journey! There are various progression opportunities, SMT are helpful and supportive, it's a happy and inspiring sales floor to work on and the new benefits package is great! Not to mention we've got a lovely, huge new office where all of Baltic are together under one roof. Would recommend working at Baltic to anyone!

I am am account manager and I love my job. work life is fun, I am always rewarded when I do well and I am always pushed to improve myself and progress in my job. I had 0 sales experience when I arrived at Baltic and I now I have had 2 promotions and work in a team of extremely talented individuals that I am lucky to learn off and be inspired by every day! If you are looking for a caring company with progression opportunities, amazing social benefits and a reward scheme when you are doing well - then Baltic is your place!

Don't expect any support

If you are an apprentice at Baltic, don't expect any support when things go wrong or aren't working out with your placement. They weren't even professional enough to tell me over the phone that I wasn't going to get further support and had to find out through a trainer over an email. Just ignored my phone calls and acted like I didn't exist.

Great support

Baltic Apprenticeships provided me with a range of training, skills and provided me support throughout my apprenticeship with support sessions. I also could turn to them with any issues I faced in the workplace.

Led to believe it’s a fantastic place to work but horrible

Was led to believe it was a fantastic job, got 3 months into my role and true colours were shown within the work place. Was in a 6 month probation period and they brought forward the probation and terminated my contract immediately and was made to leave the building. For a company that is meant to support you and build confidence, they completely knocked mine and made me feel so small for not being as loud and confident as other people. It was interpreted during my meeting that in order to be good in a role I should have more confidence, was traumatising to have my confidence knocked after spending so long trying to build it up. After asking me to leave the work place, HR stated “I can tell your about to cry so welldone for composing yourself” one of the most unprofessional lines I have ever heard!! Multiple people within my time had their probation period ended early to which I witnessed many of the staff laughing and joking about those who’d been made redundant by the company! Never seen anything like it. They sell you the dream and you realise 3 months in that it is a horrendous work place and very clicky. It’s one of those “if your face fits” jobs

Cons

Unprofessional staff, staff doesn’t support or develop your confidence they knock it.

By far the best company I've worked for.

Since day 1 I've been offered support, development & growth opportunities. I've never once felt 'stressed' or 'overworked' during my time at Baltic & have been consistently rewarded/acknowledged for my input. Management have offered more support and guidance than anywhere else I've experienced and although there may be times unexpected changes occur there is always the opportunity to rest/recharge after; and regardless, is that not what work is anyway? The occasional change in schedules due to sickness/personal reasons? The hardest part of the job? Nothing has sent my blood pressure through the roof and it's easily the only time in my life I actually wake up looking forward to work. I've seen the occasional review about a 'face to fit' and visual appearances, as a remote worker I can't comment on this however at no point during calls or the summer party have I felt unwelcomed! Overall an exceptional place to be in my eyes, if you're happy to work and get stuck in - help others so the favour can be returned you'll fit in brilliantly.

Pros

Outstanding management, fantastic support, progression & rewarding environment

Cons

none?

Prepare to be treated like dirt.

Toxic management, unrealistic deadlines, no work/life balance, false promises, no support, little to no knowledge of equality and diversity. Run quick and run far.

Amazing place to work

I absolutely love working at Baltic Training. It is a very rewarding place to work as you are helping apprentices into jobs and also helping companies benefit from them. The culture is fantastic as everyone wants to see the company being successful and everyone supports one another and is happy to see others doing well. There are so many development opportunities for people who are working hard and deserve to progress. I have had a number myself in the years I have worked here and senior management are really passionate about their staff feeling appreciated.

Pros

Good incentives, progression, great culture and atmosphere

Cons

I honestly can't think of any!
