Fill out an application form and then if you’re selected you get called in for an interview
I personally went up to the counter and told them that I was looking at somewhere to volunteer for my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.
I applied for a part time role as a paid store associate on the Barnardo's careers page online and received an email a couple of days later inviting me to an interview. The day after the interview I received a phonecall offering me the job. From there I had two weeks training.
I wanted to help out in the Charity Shop so I went in there and the boss liked me and told me to come back for an interview later that day, to get to know me and she hired me to help out.
Go in and ask if they are looking for any jobs and most of the time they will say yes
If you pop into their Charity shop you will be sure to get work experience as a volunteer.
They have to complete a volunteer form during an interview and read through the health and safety booklet.
Barnardo's are always looking for volunteers and sometimes it can be as simple as walking into a store and asking to volunteer, whilst others you may have to go through an entire interview process - this is completely at the store manager's discretion.
If I could give any advice, it would be to only apply to the job if you are 100% dedicated to the cause and to always show up dressed appropriately, on time and with a great big smile on your face.
I would assume on line
You have to go on the site and aply for jobs on there and fill in the apliication form and wait to hear from them but once u join barnardos u are open to other jobs and also can o courses
