We’re training the next generation to lead the industry into the future and build homes to meet a nation-wide shortage. Whether you’re a school leaver, undergraduate or graduate, we’ll train you up with hands-on learning and ongoing managerial support. We’re invested in your training because we believe you are the future of our business. Our organisation is built on people who started out on one of our early careers training programmes. In fact, our Operations Director, Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer all built their careers out of these programmes. Wherever you are in your career, we have an opportunity for you in one of the most exciting industries in Britain.  Apprenticeships An apprenticeship is a great first step into our growing industry. Our apprenticeships are award-winning, combining hands-on work with professional training, senior mentoring and industry qualifications. They’re also a great alternative to further full-time study, giving you the skills you need to build a career while you earn money.

Armed Forces

Your skills are in high demand If you’re ex-Armed Forces, not only do we welcome you, we actively look for and want the skills and experience you bring. For many, housebuilding is the next natural step after an Army career. Your drive and leadership skills are ideally suited to construction and we provide extensive training to cover the rest. Housebuilding is also the next sensible step. As the nation-wide demand for houses increases, we’re building homes to meet that demand so you’ll develop industry skills that are highly sought after. And, as the leading housebuilder in Britain, Barratt is the clear choice for your next career move. Stay ahead with the latest training and technology We prioritise your training and development, giving you access to the latest techniques and technology to stay at the forefront of our industry. We offer two programmes that are most suitable to people with an Armed Forces background. However, if neither is the exact fit, then take a look around our website for more options.  Armed Forces Transition Programme Work on-site and become an Assistant Site Manager within (approximately) 12 months.  Sponsored Degree Programmes Achieve a BSc (Hons) Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying alongside a hands-on role learning day-to-day, relevant skills. This programme isn’t specific for ex-Armed Forces personnel, but is well-suited to your background and you are encouraged to apply.
