Could be worse!
It all depends on how good you are at your job, how much you're willing to exhaust yourself and how flexible you're willing to be when the chaos hits; every year is chaos and it doesn't seem to improve. Management changes frequently, it's luck of the draw who you get and if they are competent. It's good if it's your first teaching job, otherwise pay is terrible. If you are able to just get on with your job with as little interaction with management as possible you'll be fine.Stay on top of deadlines, don't make mistakes, don't work outside your hours, stand your ground when needed and get to know your colleagues. Don't forget you can always be replaced!

Support staff and teachers amazing
Historically BC was a good employer. In the last 2 years management and HR have changed and the college is now run under an autocratic regime. Despite what the management say, they do not respect or value their staff. The level of staff turnover is the highest it has ever been. Sadly, the morale of the staff is on the floor.

Spineless cowardly management
Terrible management, spineless and zero respect.Don't give you a chance to grow before disposing of you, don't care if you've lost a family member. Rather than give you feedback or have a 1-2-1 meeting with you, will cowardly disrespect behind your back. You can work your behind off and still get zero respect for it. They don't treat like a human being just a replacable/disposable entity. was supposed to be on a 6 month contract, only given 2 months and no chance to defend myself or give me any feedback. Will complain about how many people leave the company but get rid of people anyway, good hard working people.

Lack of direction
Not enough vision, logistically struggles to meet unclear visions, poor cross college communication. The college lacks commitment both from senior management and financial investment so poor delivery of programmes and courses

Caring conscientious staff with Good energy levels
Good collaboration available between all staff. Management have a lot of tasks who seem to be doing longer hours than they’re paid for. Training is the normal online checkbox 6 week courses .
