Fast paced but rewarding ...
Production Operative (Current Employee) - Preston - 4 November 2021
Fast paced environment but rewarding for those who put the effort in. Good people and atmosphere. Work can be physically demanding but experience will help with that. Good wage. A company that seems to be moving in the right direction for all in the future. I currently work here on the night shift. If things stay the way they are or change for the better then I'll be here for a very long time.
Pros
Hours, People, Wages ...
Cons
Travelling (but that's a personal issue)

Sacked for having a brain stem
Centralised packer (Former Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 1 October 2020
Supervisors exhibit behaviour you would see in a primary school looking after 8 year olds, little man’ syndrome is rife, if you are an able bodied male you will be treat like a slave. If you want to work for baxi, best way is to be a mute. If you have anything intelligence about you it will be removed under threat of disciplinary/dismissal
Pros
Preferential treatment for minorities, can be late, do what you want with no consequence
Cons
Not allowed to eat outside, or sit down.

Assembly Worker (Former Employee) - Bamber Bridge, Lancashire - 21 September 2020
I would avoid this place. It is a sack place Your face has to fit. It is a racist place. They treat Agency workers like trash And they are quite open about it too. If your agency you will have to park your car outside. They make you work hard for min.

Don’t work for Baxi
Customer Support Agent (Former Employee) - Warwick - 4 January 2020
If you want to be treated like a pawn on a chess board then Baxi is the place for you! Management are old and unprofessional in every way. The job itself is mentally exhausting and if you tell a manager about how you’re struggling with your mental health, managers are more concerned about getting you back on the phones and selling. You mean nothing to them. It’s constant pressure to sell 24/7.

Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Warwick - 14 September 2019
Worked there for 12 years it's changed since workforce team bully staff and sack good people very much on if your face fits basis. Sweat shop run by imbeciles. Unrealistic targets. Threats and bullying. Warnings if sick. Machinery all knackered. Health and safety blinkered. I would recommend you stear clear of this bad workplace

Average place to work
New Product Development Engineer (Former Employee) - Preston - 21 October 2017
It was a great place to work whilst it was an employee owned company. I worked there for ten years between 1985 and 1995. I couldn't comment on what it is like to work for now

If you work hard, they'll look after you
Customer Service (Current Employee) - Warwick - 6 June 2016
The one main thing about BAXI is that you'll never have enough time. The work can be very high pressured in the winter (heating season). You might struggle with booking holidays as well. The people are really nice and you'll come to think of them as family. The company values are written all over the office, but I find that some of the values aren't followed. You have to push quite hard to get anything done, mainly because people are short on time. Communication is a bit strained between offices as well. Manufacturing in Preston and Warwick Operations run almost independently from one another.
Pros
Nice People, Fairly Normal hours (by todays standards), Not bad pay
Cons
Emotional customers, Lack of time, High call ques

very low moral workforce
former employee (Former Employee) - Bamber Bridge, ENG - 19 August 2015
baxi was a good company to work 20 yr ago but now the workforce work in fear as the mmanagement are bullys and corrupt. theres been a culture of sacking full timers over past 2 yrs to replace with agency worker obviously on less money than full timers the company is a terrible place to be 8 hrs a day.

Great Company to work for
Assistant Management Accountant (Former Employee) - Warwick, ENG - 27 October 2014
I started at Baxi as a purchase Ledger Supervisor and as this department had no supervisor for several years it was a mess..
After sorting out the department I was the given the Cash account from Credit Control to reconcile. This was a great challenge and took a while to reconcile. But once it was complete I then implemented new banking procedures for the 13 Curzon branches rolled it out and monitored it weekly. Also continued reconciling on a monthly basis.
then in May 2002 I took on the role of assistant management accountant as well as my other duties.
Pros
Friendly place to work
Cons
long hours
