I’ve been here & still here at the moment for over 18 years & now our jobs are not looking safe because of this major pandemic so all vending will have to wait & see what happens next

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
I wouldn’t recommend working here at all ended up working two peoples jobs for the price of one had an injury at work and got sacked for giving in a doctors note, honestly the worst place I have ever worked at don’t even think about working here, I’d rather cheese grate my fingers
Very good company to work for.I learned so many thing as commis chef at baxterstorey the atmosphere very nice, friendly places. You could learned a lot the give you do many training. Manual handling, food safety fire training.
Everyone works really well as a team, pitching in to ensure service is complete and out on time particularly at busy times such as peak. You can be making up food, helping customers, dealing with stock, doing vending. As supervisor I was also in the office doing due diligence, providing training, looking after the money side and staffing issues. Recently due to restrictions imposed by covid 19 some tasks have become more monotonous and less customer facing. The higher training has been postponed and job roles have changed quite a lot but everyone still works well together to ensure the best possible service is on offer whilst maintaining a safe environment.
worked for Baxterstorey for over 10 years, had only one day off sick in that time. When I first started working for the company I was extremely enthusiastic, lots of opportunities to advance to a manger level and learning more about the industry itself. Now, if someone applied i would recommend never to take a job from this company. Alot of bullying and nastiness is held in most units and sadly this is from management. I have seen poor management skills and most have no knowledge of what they are doing. Ops management are even more lacking in actually knowing what they are doing. I have been to many sights as extra help & support for the managers but was disgusted how they spoke to their staff, who not all but, majority work extremely hard for minimum wage. When I have reported this back to Ops managers they fundamentally told me to shhhhh!!The company has changed so much in the last couple of years, that I could no longer work for them. Quite honestly, I'm embarrassed what I have seen.
Minus 24 hour sites, hours are ok
Management & Operation Management
Senior management team do not care about their managers, team and even the contracts they run. Don't know how the company have survived this long, company needs a complete overall.
Can not run a catering business
Enjoyable working atmosphere, and I worked at most of their Midland sites being a Relief Chef. Usual communication problems with lower end management but always solvable if you persisted and used your common sense and diplomacy, after all they have a hectic workload placed upon them as we did, but they are still there to do that job.
Decent pay. Work/home life balance good. Meals available while on shift.
Lower management communication needs tweaking, Never forget a company will protect it's own reputation over an employees .These are no different.
The site I worked at had wonderful people working for this company. Management was also competent and didn't give you any BS about the current situation. Only downside were the customers that we catered for. The people who were employed at this company were mostly lovely and polite, but some treated you like complete trash.
